BMFcast249 – Captain Jack Sharkness

CGI can't wait to watch this again

Shark Attack 3: Megalodon (2002) is how we open Sharksgiving. CGI sharks, stilted dialog and insane performances by our main cast members make this something special.

Second half we briefly talk about the Found Footage Festival, Creature from the Black Lagoon and then take some listener correspondence. Enjoy!

BMFcast244 – The Lions, The Stich and A Wardrobe

The Mane Attraction

Roar (1981) is a curiosity to behold. It’s curious how everyone involved in making this ‘movie’ didn’t die a horrible death.

Second half we discuss Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Brick Mansions, Running Scared and The Purge. Plus listener correspondence. Enjoy!

BMFcast241 – The Penultimate Surprise of the Bad Movie Fiends

Not sure we had enough class to watch this one.

Detention (2011) is a bit of a surprise for us. We went in only because it’s from the same director of Torque and what we ended up getting may shock you (because it did us).

Second half we discuss Sharknado 2: The Second One and Amazing Spider-man 2: the one that came after all the other Spider-man movies. Plus listener correspondence and more. Enjoy!

BMFcast233 – Do Guys Come With That Shake?

You can try to stop the music but you will fail.

Can’t Stop the Music (1980) has been a long time standing by in our reserve recommendation pile but its time has finally come. Strangely, however, all the hosts have disappeared save Harlo and Chuck. Guess they weren’t macho enough men to snap into this Slim Jim®.

Second half we keep it brief but discuss All the Boys Love Mandy Lane and the Mad Max trilogy. Plus DDR becomes SDR as we discuss what may be the death knell for the challenge in Stomp the Yard. Enjoy!

BMFcast208 – All the Faxx

Traxx (1988) is the movie of the week. Shadoe Stevens plays the titular character who wants to leave his life of action and bake cookies instead. But since he sucks at that, he’s forced into cleaning up the worst town in the world to make some dough.

Second half we talk about The Wolf of Wall Street, 47 Ronin, The Great Gatsby and plenty more. Enjoy!

BMFcast198 – Monstrawsity

Voyage of the Rock Aliens (1984) is week 4 of Rocktober’s movie. This time we bring along the incomparable Pia Zadora to this low budget Sci-Fi zany rock musical party. There’s gags aplenty and more of them work than they should.

Second half we discuss some random movies including Grave Encounters and then get spooky answering some listener emails. Enjoy!

Listener Scott’s Redline Redux Trailer

Be sure to mute the left side and enjoy the classic rock proper style of music that I’m sure they couldn’t afford.

BMFcast135 – Pooky

Deathstalker II: Duel of the Titans (1987) is the sequel to one of our esteemed 5 Jox winners. There’s a lot more forced comedy and a lot less forced entry in this wacky sequel to the utterly deadpan original, though. Does this equal a good thing?

Second half we talk about this little independent movie called My Dinner with Batman (no, wait that’s not it). We continue our Bond marathon with Diamonds Are Forever, a goofy sequel in its own right. Plus plenty of other movie discussion. Enjoy!

BMFcast116 – All Hail Mr. T

D.C. Cab (1983) is this week’s review, directed by the man who put nipples on the Batsuit and starring the dynamic duo of Mr. T and Gary Busey. It is, for once, a comedy we can truly sink our enormous Busey teeth into.

Second half is voicemail laden with a broad range of topics covered. Enjoy!

BMFcast113 – Yaphet and the Kid

The Monkey Hu$tle (1976) wraps up Blaxploitation History Month. We’re joined one last time by American Treasure Yaphet Kotto and this time he has a kid sidekick. While this is normally a recipe for disaster, the only thing disastrous in this one is the fashion.

Second half we briefly talk about Tucker and Dale vs Evil and The Warrior’s Way then go down into possibly our most lengthy discussion ever as we recount our visiting of MegaCon 2012. There is lots of us geeking out over all the geek activities we encountered. Enjoy!
