BMFcast Extra 209 – Underwater

Underwater (2020) is a deep sea monster movie that, while sometimes silly, mostly does everything right. It’s like Leviathan if Leviathan was good!

BMFcast563 – The Brain – Typical Canadian Christmas

The Brain (1988) is our second film from director Ed Hunt (Alien Warrior). While not nearly as insane as that film, it does have its own “Uhhh, what the heck is this?” thing going on. Canadian teens are menaced by a giant brain that eats people and wants a popular TV show. And it’s a Christmas movie.

BMFcast Extra 206 – Species II

Species II (1998) is the unnecessary sequel to the 1995 surprise hit, and it doesn’t even bother with that film’s sequel hook. This one has THREE sequel hooks in the end, and we’d wager that Species III doesn’t use any of them either.

BMFcast Extra 205 – Masters of the Universe

“He’s so dreamy.” — Man-at-Arms

Masters of the Universe (1987) is Cannon Films’ attempt to make money off the mostly no longer relevant He-Man franchise, starring Dolph Lundgren in the vehicle that was supposed to make him a star. Also along for the ride are Courtney Cox, Tom Paris from Star Trek Voyager and Mr. Strickland from Back to the Future.

BMFcast561 – Alien Warrior – An Afterschool Special for Dirtbags

Alien Warrior (1985) is one of those movies. It’s baffling in all the best ways. It’s about a beefy space alien man who comes to Earth to defeat “Great Evil”. Once here he runs afoul of evil pimp Mr. One and also helps kids learn to read after building a sports car from scratch. Who is this for?!

BMFcast558 – Killdozer – NoDoz

Killdozer (1974) is an ABC movie of the week featuring a space rock that possesses a bulldozer and tries to murder half a dozen construction workers. They defeat it. That’s Killdozer.

BMFcast555 – Creature – Derpy Xenomorph

Creature (1985) is an Alien knockoff with effects from the team that would go on to make Aliens (and win an Oscar for it!) Something’s up on Saturn’s moon Titan and various ships are sent to investigate. Once there, they find a creature! People then get creatured.

BMFcast Extra 199 – Species

Species (1995) has a top notch cast and top notch nudity and yet it’s a complete mess. Aliens send us their DNA and we decide to merge it with our own DNA to see what happens, for fun. Fun does not ensue.

BMFcast Extra 189 – The Shape of Things to Come

The Shape of Things to Come (1979) is a silly sci-fi tale about Jack Palance, lord of the robots, who wants to become emperor of the moon. You should really go check this out on Amazon Prime or wherever it might be streaming now before firing up this latest episode because, wow, this is a thing…

BMFcast Extra 153 – Men in Black International

Men in Black: International (2019) was 2019’s “How DARE you, Hollywood?!” critical dog pile where everyone tried to outdo each other to come up with a way to explain how offensive this film was to humanity and that nothing worse has ever been produced. As per usual, that’s all nonsense. This movie is totally fine.
