Spiders (2000) has Lana Parrilla as a conspiracy theory obsessed reporter who investigates a space shuttle crash that may contain government-mutated spiders. Spoiler: it does! Of course, low-budget hijinks ensue. Sure, it feels like a Sci Fi Channel X-Files knockoff, but can a third act that goes PLACES push this into the upper tier of Jox-worthy movies?
