BMFcast540 – Duel to the Death – Animadjacency

Duel to the Death (1983) was sent to us by a passionate listener who REALLY wanted us to watch it, so we did! It’s an over the top kung fu swordplay ninja movie with insane stunts, crazy violence and an annoying soundtrack. What’s not to love?

BMFcast539 – DeepStar Six – Braless Row and Naked Showers

DeepStar Six (1989) helped kick off that year’s underwater monster movie craze that didn’t produce a lot of good results. It’s an Alien ripoff that spends a lot of time not doing anything and then suddenly has too many things to do. Will those things be enough to award it some Jox?

BMFcast538 – Moonfall – The Jizz of the Ancients

Moonfall (2022) is completely bonkers. The moon falls out of its orbit and will crash into the Earth within weeks. A handful of heroes attempt to stop it but discover there’s more to the story than anyone realized. Way more. Like holy God there’s so much more. Roland Emmerich’s latest disaster movie is one of the goofiest things you can watch, and you should absolutely watch it.

BMFcast537 – House Party 2 – P’Jam

House Party 2 (1991) sees Kid (Kid) off to college while Play (Play) stays behind to work in the record store. Hijinks ensue. Also, drama? But then there’s a pajama jammie jam, which is why we’re all here. It’s a very wholesome R-rated comedy.

BMFcast Extra 197 – Delta Force 3

Delta Force 3: The Killing Game (1991) features the sons and brothers of famous action stars or otherwise acclaimed filmmakers. This is not a good casting choice for an action movie. It’s a gimmick, one which does not work at all. Even BMFcast-beloved director Sam Firstenberg (with creative consulting from Brian Trenchard-Smith!) can’t make this nonsense work.

BMFcast536 – The 8 Diagram Pole Fighter – Snake Sock

The 8 Diagram Pole Fighter (1984) is considered to be not just one of the best Shaw Brothers movies, but one of the best overall martial arts movies of all time. We were very confused about the plot but we do know that all the fighting RULES and the last 20 minutes in particular will rock your gosh darn snake socks off.

Editor’s Note: In this episode we will absolutely butcher names, proper nouns, places, events, phrases, minerals, traditions, religion and so on. We don’t mean to do this. It’s not done for laughs. We’re just dumb and talking too fast. We will strive to do better. We do know a lot about Soul Calibur though.

BMFcast535 – Scream Blacula Scream – Oops All Blaculas

You in danger girl.

Scream Blacula Scream (1973) is an immediate sequel to the first film that has William Marshall return as Blacula, and now Pam Grier is here too. What more do you need? Oh, and if you want to have a really great time, drink every time we say “Blacula”.

BMFcast Extra 196 – Dracula 2000

Dracula 2000 (2000) Presented by Virgin Megastore features a solid cast from this era including Gerard Butler as Dracula. But wow, does this era of movies (especially horror ones from Dimension) not hold up. A Real Stinker 2000.

BMFcast534 – Gordon’s War – Penicillin Allergy

Gordon’s War (1973) stars Paul Winfield as Gordon, home from ‘Nam to discover his wife dead from an overdose. He gathers up his fellow ‘Nam buddies and wages war on the pimps, pushers and kingpins in Harlem. Features a killer soundtrack and a frightening car chase that they most likely did not have any permits for.

BMFcast533 – Black Samurai – Half-Assed Buttresses

Black Samurai (1977) stars Jim Kelly as, well as the Black Samurai. He’s a secret agent of sorts trying to rescue a lady he knows from the clutches of the Warlock, who is just some no-neck dude in a big house. Along the way, Kelly fights a vulture and destroys many mens’ testicles. We also have plenty of time for the most random asides you’ve heard in a BMFcast episode yet.
