BMFcast241 – The Penultimate Surprise of the Bad Movie Fiends

Not sure we had enough class to watch this one.

Detention (2011) is a bit of a surprise for us. We went in only because it’s from the same director of Torque and what we ended up getting may shock you (because it did us).

Second half we discuss Sharknado 2: The Second One and Amazing Spider-man 2: the one that came after all the other Spider-man movies. Plus listener correspondence and more. Enjoy!

BMFcast240 – Let My Buddies Go

Walk like a dog

Treasure Buddies (2012) is our final doggone movie for Dogust. Somehow it’s also our fifth entry in the Robert Vince filmography which is further proof we are clinically insane.

Second half we discuss The Counselor, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Christmas with the Kranks (in August) and then take some listener correspondence. Enjoy!

BMFcast239 – Walker and Pooch

Climb aboard the Chuck wagon

Top Dog (1995) is our fourth movie for Dogust. Chuck Norris made this “kids movie” and killed his theatrical career along with way too many people in an actual kids movie. Plus racism.

Second half we briefly talk Into the Storm and delve into a catchup of listener emails. Enjoy!

BMFcast238 – Rewatchers

Oi Watcher 2: Director's Cut.

Watchers II (1990) continues Dogust with a requel from last year. Marc Singer takes on the ill fitting rubber suit monster this time and the dog is properly smug about his smarts.

Second half we talk Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014), Lucy, Guardians of the Galaxy, Need for Speed, Muppets Most Wanted and more. Enjoy!

BMFcast237 – Canadian Confusion

baileys_billions

Bailey’s Billion$ (2005) is our choice for the second week of Dogust Two. We’re joined by special guest Walt since Harlo steadfastly refused to participate this week. The movie is another G-rated nightmare, but this one features Tim Curry, Jennifer Tilly’s cleavage and a talking dog voiced by Jon Lovitz. Also, BMFcast alum Dean Cain.

In the second half its Guardians of the Galaxy time, along with Non-Stop, Noah and a slew of martial arts flicks. Enjoy!

BMFcast236 – B.I.T.E.S.

Once you start it, you can't put it down.

C.H.O.M.P.S. (1979) is our first movie for Dogust 2: Dog Harder. It’s a rated G movie about a robot security dog so he doesn’t mechanically bite anyone’s face off. What a shame.

Second half we kind of forgot to watch movies so we end up talking a bit of TV and discuss how much Hulu sucks. Enjoy!

BMFcast235 – Pentangle

Invasion L.A.

Avenging Force (1986) is how we avenge force movies after last week. Michael Dudikoff takes over Chuck Norris’ character role in this sort of sequel to Invasion U.S.A. Basically it’s more like American Ninja 1.5.

Second half we talk a bunch of movies including Snowpiercer, Casino Jack, Ong Bak, Iron Monkey, Stealth and the Rambo series. Enjoy!

BMFcast234 – Tough Guy Terry

Not sure you know karate, kid.

Excessive Force (1993) is our movie for the week. Joining Producer, Writer and Star Thomas Ian Griffith are Lance Henriksen and James Earl Jones among others. There’s a lot of good ingredients in the mix but the finished product is excessively average.

Second half we discuss a metric tonne of movies including Under the Skin, The Raid 2, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, Spawn, Hudson Hawk and The Goonies. Plus more including listener correspondence. It’s a chalk full of stuff episode. Enjoy!

BMFcast233 – Do Guys Come With That Shake?

You can try to stop the music but you will fail.

Can’t Stop the Music (1980) has been a long time standing by in our reserve recommendation pile but its time has finally come. Strangely, however, all the hosts have disappeared save Harlo and Chuck. Guess they weren’t macho enough men to snap into this Slim JimĀ®.

Second half we keep it brief but discuss All the Boys Love Mandy Lane and the Mad Max trilogy. Plus DDR becomes SDR as we discuss what may be the death knell for the challenge in Stomp the Yard. Enjoy!

BMFcast232 – Ask Dolph Anything

When it comes to explosions this movie comes through in a pinch

Red Scorpion (1988) is our movie of the week. We decided to push this one up in our lineup after realizing it was from the mind of a writer on Power Rangers The Movie but also brought to us by the questionable Casino Jack Abramoff. But hey, it’s Dolph doing what he does best which is being badass and causing explosions.

Second half we talk a few random movies including Pushing Tin, Bad Boys 1&2, Necessary Evil and the Jack Ryan series. Plus listener correspondence. Enjoy!
