BMFcast372 – A*P*E – Col. GD Davis

A*P*E (1976) continues APEril in grand tradition with a Korean King Kong knockoff with an incredibly low budget. Can abysmal editing, Joanna Kerns’ screaming, and one very annoyed colonel make everything better? (What do you think!?)

In the second half we give our thoughts on the first few episodes of Netflix’s Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return (2017), BJ finally sees John Wick (2014), and we discuss a new entry in a franchise we’ve mentioned in passing a few times in the past, The Fate of the Furious (2017). (F8! Get it!?) Enjoy!

BMFcast268 – Death Car: The Car That Eats

Boots on the… Never mind.

Wheels of Terror (1990) continues April Fuels with a made-for-cable killer car movie. Early-’70s Charger battles little yellow school bus in what might be one of the longest chase sequences we’ve ever experienced on the show. Is it enough to make up for a pretty dull first and second act?

Second half we take some listener correspondence and then it’s all Furious 7 talk, both spoiler-free and spoiler-heavy. (Don’t worry, we’ll give you plenty of warning.) Everything you could possibly want to know about we want you to know about this movie is covered. Enjoy!

BMFcast267 – Primatepril

SHAKMA!

Shakma (1990) is the thrilling tale of a LARPing session gone totally wrong when a chemically altered, incredibly angry baboon is unleashed on an unsuspecting group of med students. And their doors. Lots and lots of doors.

Second half we wrap up our talk of Last Man on Earth, Chuck talks Jackie Chan with Police Story and then shifts gears to The Master, for some reason. On the eve of Furious 7, we revisit discussion of the Fast & Furious movies. Again. After that it’s some listener e-mails. Enjoy!

BMFcast266 – Poor Man’s Conan

BMF-Ep266-slider

Dragonfight (1990) might be the most alum-packed episode we’ve ever had. Robert Z’Dar takes on a guy named Falchion in some kind of gladiator combat for the pleasure of megacorporations in the middle of the desert in the distant future of 1990. Trust us, it makes even less sense in the actual movie.

Second half Harlo dives into some newer musical movie fare with Whiplash and Inside Llewyn Davis, Chuck puzzlingly revisits the Rush Hour trilogy, Maki revisits some movies involving fast cars, BJ talks TV with Last Man on Earth, and we even have time for listener e-mails. It’s action-packed. Enjoy!

BMFcast176 – Anitrocity

Foodfight! (Some Year) is our third “movie” for AniMAYtion. Do your kids love Casablanca, Nazis, product placement, awkward sexual references and TERRIBLE animation? Then this movie still isn’t for them. Or anyone.

Second half we talk about much happier things like going to an advanced screening of Fast & Furious 6. Yeah. That’s more like it. Enjoy!

BMFcast80 – Like, Totally

This movie proves blondes really are more worthless human beings.

Totally Blonde (2001? 2003?) starring Krista Allen is reviewed this episode, based on our first female caller to the BMFcast Hotline. I hear Michael Bublé might sing in this one!

Second half we kill it with a voicemails, talk Easy A and Maki finally gets around to seeing The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift to complete his collection. Enjoy!

BMFSpoilCast06 – Fast Five

I live my life five movies at a time.

This SpoilCast is all about Fast Five (2011) or The Fast and the Furious Part Five if you’re not into that whole brevity thing. We seriously can’t recommend this movie strongly enough. Get out and see it if you enjoy things going fast and getting wrecked by giant safes.

BMFcast77 – A.D.D. it Up

Behold the good in this movie.

Speed Racer (2008) is an attempt to break our cycle of Golden Age movies by descending into the madness of a CG Nightmare. We also manage to break the streak of coming anywhere remotely close to agreeing about the rating of a movie.

Second half we keep it a little shorter after the rambling from the first half. We take a couple of calls from the Garfield Phone, talk Will Ferrell movies and the saga of The Fast and the Furious.
