BMFcast416 – Hologram Man – Glitch Slap
Hologram Man (1995) is the tale of a criminal mastermind who is converted into a hologram, locked up in hologram prison, who then escapes. The only man who can track him down is the man who put him there: a cop named Decoda. This PM Entertainment joint is willing to sacrifice the lives of many a stuntman and decommissioned police car in pursuit of our entertainment. Spoiler: it pays off.
After the break Chuck somehow avoided spoilers and is rewarded with a fresh viewing of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, while Harlo catches up on FX’s Atlanta and we sing the praises of Darius. Darius forever, y’all.

BMFcast414 – The Taking of Beverly Hills – Shuriken Wahl
The Taking of Beverly Hills (1991) has Ken Wahl as a hotshot NFL quarterback who is the only man left to thwart a Robert Davi led scheme to rob the entire city of Beverly Hills under the guise of a chemical spill evacuation. This one is crazy, with SWAT tanks, flamethrowers, car stunts aplenty, ninja stars and, of course, gratuitous explosions. The only question is just how many Jox will this be awarded?
In the second half we go movie-crazy, with talk of Duncan Jones’ new Netflix film Mute (2018), Chuck revisits the Tombstone (1993) vs Wyatt Earp (1994) debate, Harlo is impressed with Moonlight (2016), not so much with Hellraiser (1987), Maki checks out Criterion’s brand-new (gorgeous) Night of the Living Dead (1968) blu-ray, and we wrap up with discussion of The Disaster Artist (2017) and Tommy Wiseauness in general.

BMFcast Extra 067 – Beastmaster III
Beastmaster III (1996) is the final Beastmaster film and is a TV-movie that plays like a pilot for a proposed Beastmaster series that never took off. Marc Singer is back, still a good sport, and this time brings genre staples David Warner, Tony Todd and Casper Van Dien along. Bonus: The pilot episode of 1999’s unrelated Beastmaster TV show is discussed!

BMFcast Extra 066 – Beastmaster 2
Beastmaster 2: Through the Portal of Time (1991) is the epitome of what we do here. You’ll know if you’re on board or not very early on in this “Marc Singer’s Beastmaster travels to 90s Los Angeles to stop his previously unknown brother-wizard from acquiring a nuke” thing when the one liners start. B-movie alums galore are along for the ride, including Robert Z’Dar, Michael Berryman and Wings Hauser.

BMFcast Extra 057 – Mean Guns
Mean Guns (1997)… You’d think an Ice-T / Christopher Lambert action movie would be right up our alley, but there’s a wild card involved here — director Albert Pyun. *sigh* Listen for our explanation as to why we’ve now added his named to our list of banned keywords for acceptable BMFcast movies.

BMFcast403 – Chrome Soldiers – Iraq Defeats Truman
Chrome Soldiers (1992) is a TV movie reuniting two of our favorites: Gary Busey and Yaphet Kotto! However, neither really gets used the way we’d like in this tale of Vietnam Vet bikers taking on corrupt cops and a drug ring in Oregon.
The second half is chock full of so many movies we’re just gonna make a list, so check it out if you like any of the following: Justice League (2017), Spider Man Homecoming (2017), The Maze Runner (2014), Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015), The Hitman’s Bodyguard (2017), The Incredibles (2004), Toy Story 3 (2010), Alien Covenant (2017) extra features, Arsenal (2017), Black Butterfly (2017) or Office Christmas Party (2016). Phew!
