BMFcast440 – Dolls – Super Judgy Sailor Boy
Dolls (1987) is our first Stuart Gordon film in 340 episodes. It’s the tale of a group of randos trapped in a house owned by a pair of witchcrafty doll makers and their many murder dolls. Hijinks ensue.
In the second half there’s some chat about Venom (2018) and then the debate rages on about Won’t You Be My Neighbor? (2018) and Event Horizon (1997). Enjoy!

BMFcast439 – Of Unknown Origin – Scotch Bath
Of Unknown Origin (1983) is not what you expect. It’s the story of a businessman (Peter Weller) who wages war with a rat inside his home. And that’s it. He fights the rat. A lot. The rat is smart. Weller gets obsessed. They fight. One of them wins.
In the second half we rant about digital streaming and then BJ checks in with looks at Event Horizon and The Martian before we all dive headfirst into some film theory. Enjoy!

BMFcast434 – Hot Dog the Movie – Skifenestration
Hot Dog the Movie (1984) by reputation is a raunchy sex comedy. It’s not. It’s a ski movie with boobs on display here and there. Some dudes ski, sometimes they have the sex, there’s a scandal and a big race, and that’s that.
In the second half we… just kidding, there is no second half this week. Enjoy!

BMFcast433 – Mac and Me – Busby Burgerley
Mac and Me (1988) was a film we thought we could ignore. This ET-knockoff and product placement-apalooza had been well covered by plenty of other podcasts over the years. But when the mad geniuses over at Shout Factory decided this needed a Blu-ray release, well… that was our cue.
In the second half we talk about shows where comedians do things and talk to other comedians. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 081 – Brenda Starr
Brenda Starr (1989) is good starring vehicle for Brooke Shields but it stumbles along the way for reasons that are difficult to nail down. However, Timothy Dalton is here to be awesome and attempt to save the day.

BMFcast428 – Hercules – No Anesthesia Greek Vasectomy
Hercules (1983) is the Golan-Globus version of the “classic” strong man tale that features wizards and witches and feats of strength and Sybil Danning’s breasts. It’s a mixed bag, but there’s potential fun within.
In the second half, Maki talks Jurassic Park Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Tag (2018), Harlo attempts to have fun with Death of Stalin (2018), and then we unload on delusional Star Wars nerds for a nice cathartic release at the end of the episode. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 080 – Jake Speed
Jake Speed (1986) is a weird one. He’s a fictional pulp hero in a world where all the other pulp heroes we already know apparently actually exist. Maybe. It’s hard to tell because the movie never settles on an actual story.

BMFcast427 – The Hidden – Beep Out
The Hidden (1987) is an underrated sci-fi actioner that some would say is too good for our show. So what? It’s awesome and we watched it. Join us as we praise this goofy little thing.
In the second half it’s time for TV Corner as Harlo streams Cobra Kai and Con Men, BJ marathons more Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Chuck gets the sads watching Showtime’s Patrick Melrose. Enjoy!
