The BMFcast Variety Hour 018 – The Van Dyke Apparatus

Total chaos this week as we all watched different things. Chuck gave Birds of Prey a shot on HBO Max, then had a documentary double feature on Amazon Prime with Never Surrender: A Galaxy Quest Documentary and That Guy Dick Miller. Harlo continued his Disney Plus journey with Saving Mr. Banks and Mary Poppins Returns. Then we get to your emails. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 158 – Eve of Destruction Part 2

Eve of Destruction (2013) Part Two is pretty much the same as part one. There’s lots of talk of destruction but only a handful of scenes of actual destruction. It’s boring and blah and our time was wasted. Enjoy!

The BMFcast Variety Hour 017 – Moist Fjords

An American Pickle (2020) is our movie of the week since new movies on streaming services is our life now. After that we’ve got things to say about: Norsemen, Empire of Dreams, Never Surrender: A Galaxy Quest Documentary, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and Movie 43. Plus, your voicemails!

BMFcast Extra 157 – Eve of Destruction Part 1

Eve of Destruction (2013) is a two part sci-fi miniseries made for the REELZ channel. It stars Steven Weber as a science man who wants to do the Hadron Collider thing but like most things that might not be a good idea. This first part is all set up, and we get rather punchy by the end of the episode because there’s just nothing worth talking about. Enjoy!

The BMFcast Variety Hour 016 – Doom Umbrella

Happy Death Day 2 U (2019) by default was the thing the most of us had seen this week. We all agree it’s what sequels can and often times should be.

Later we’ve got things to say about the following: The Umbrella Academy, Transformers War for Cybertron, Thirteenth, What We Do In The Shadows, Mulan (1998) and Mary Poppins. Then it’s your emails! Dumb things we own! The Mulan/Disney+ chaos! Dora the Explorer! Enjoy.

BMFcast Extra 156 – Octopus

Octopus (2000) is about 12 movies all wrapped into one, and only a small portion of it involves an octopus. You mainly get that at the end. Before that it’s a Hunt for Red October / Speed 2 / Down Periscope mishmash that… well, look it’s on Amazon Prime so go watch it and then come back here for our bemused takes.
