BMFcast Extra 098 – Transformers Age of Extinction

Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) is a soft reboot of the series with the same plot continuity but an entirely new cast. That means we get a healthy dose of Marky Mark and Stanley Tucci running around fighting Transformers. But whew, is this thing exhausting!

BMFcast427 – The Hidden – Beep Out

The Hidden (1987) is an underrated sci-fi actioner that some would say is too good for our show. So what? It’s awesome and we watched it. Join us as we praise this goofy little thing.

In the second half it’s time for TV Corner as Harlo streams Cobra Kai and Con Men, BJ marathons more Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Chuck gets the sads watching Showtime’s Patrick Melrose. Enjoy!

BMFcast397 – Terrorvision – Jagoozi

Terrorvision (1986) is another Charles Band production with malfunctioning technology. This time a family’s satellite dish brings a strange alien creature into their home. What happens next is, well, it’s something.

After the break we go nuts with movies current and older with Baby Driver (2017), The Mummy (2017), Ghostbusters (1984), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Mulan (1998), Insidious (2010), Steve Zissou in The Life Aquatic (2004) and Cult of Chucky (2017).

BMFcast Extra 048 – The Faculty

Movies Too Long For BMFcast Prime is going to be our theme for the next few months. First up, we ease our way out of the Spy Kids universe with Robert Rodriguez’s 1998 horror flick, THE FACULTY, starring every actor and actress you know.

BMFcast388 – Star Crystal – All Out Of Love

Star Crystal (1986) is the tale of a spaceship crew that brings an alien life form on board that begins killing them one by one. Wait, this sounds vaguely familiar. What’s NOT familiar is the bizarre last 10 minutes of this movie. Will an insane swerve yield Jox?

After the break Maki hits the theater for The Dark Tower (2017), Chuck hits the home theater for the recent Kong Skull Island (2017), BJ marathons a little-known HBO show called Game of Thrones, and Harlo sends us out with Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later. Enjoy!

BMFcast357 – Dollman – “Dullman”

Dollman (1991) brings back the triple threat of Tim Thomerson, Charles Band, and Albert Pyun in the story of a hard-boiled alien cop who happens to be the size of a doll when he crash lands on earth. Can he stop a ruthless group of gangbangers led by Jackie Earle Haley and the disembodied doll-sized head of the criminal he was chasing?

In the second half it’s time for our annual GOLDEN JOX AWARDS! We tell you our favorite movies of the year for 2016 in what becomes a super-sized second half. Enjoy!

BMFcast320 – Press Space To Jason

BMF-Ep320-slider

The Ice Pirates (1984) marks a space classic unseen since the childhoods of some podcast members, but does it hold up as adults? Can a bevy of BMFcast alums overcome the randomness and weird tone?

After the break Maki goes first person with Hardcore Henry, Harlo enjoys Sisters way more than he expected, and we give some Patreon shoutouts. Enjoy!

BMFcast291 – Trinitrotoluene Award

BMF-Ep291-slider

Spaced Invaders (1990) found its way onto Bluray this week so we decided we should check it out. It’s full of watermelon aliens and wacky townsfolk but a surprising amount of jokes actually work.

Second half we talk about The Duff, Dumb and Dumber To, The Lego Movie and more including a lengthy discussion of the career of M. Night Shyamalan without having actually seen The Visit. Enjoy!

BMFcast285 – ET Bone Home

BMF-Ep285-slider

Peacemaker (1990) is our latest discovery. It features both Robert Forster and Robert Davi in a tale of dueling space aliens, killer car chases and huge explosions. Who’s good? Who’s bad? Hit play and find out.

In the second half we chat about Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (and flashback to Mission: Impossible 2). Also, Lost Soul, Wet Hot American Summer (both the film and the Netflix series) and the entirety of Californication. Enjoy!

BMFcast241 – The Penultimate Surprise of the Bad Movie Fiends

Not sure we had enough class to watch this one.

Detention (2011) is a bit of a surprise for us. We went in only because it’s from the same director of Torque and what we ended up getting may shock you (because it did us).

Second half we discuss Sharknado 2: The Second One and Amazing Spider-man 2: the one that came after all the other Spider-man movies. Plus listener correspondence and more. Enjoy!
