BMFcast360 – Rage – Glass Dismissed

Rage (1995) isn’t Gary Daniels’ first BMFcast movie, but it’s definitely his first as the lead. (Spoiler: Also the best. So far.) He’s an unassuming second grade teacher who gets caught up in a government experiment gone wrong and must now battle his way to freedom, while murdering and/or defenestrating lots and lots and LOTS of bad guys.

In the second half Harlo reviews Passengers (2016) and the Mexican movie theater experience, Chuck and Maki discuss why Hail, Caesar! (2016) is one of the Coens’ lesser works, Maki sees a musical (The Book of Mormon) and we even have time for a listener e-mail. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 016 – An Amityville Haunting

2011’s AMITYVILLE HAUNTING starts the third generation of Amityville movies. None of them are connected, most likely. This one is a found footage effort that acknowledges lots of backstory though, so it was mildly interesting to say the least. Enjoy what wound up being our Amityville finale!

BMFcast359 – Space Buddies – Apawlo 13

Space Buddies (2009) is what we watch when Harlo skips an episode. Our intrepid crew of golden retrievers somehow ends up in space and makes friends with Spudnick, a russian dogsmonaut and Gravity, a ferret who’s an expert in atmospheric re-entry trajectories. Or something.

After the break Maki rewatches John Wick (2014) and we take a metric ton of listener e-mails! Sequels to Titanic (1997) are hatched, Saved! (2004) gets a shout out and plenty more. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 015 – The Amityville Horror Remake

Gen 2 of Amityville begins and ends as it’s time for the 2005 Amityville Horror remake! Also known as The Abs-ityville Horror, as you’ll soon see. Come listen to two men who’ve just watched this film struggle to talk about it in the right order!

BMFcast358 – Band of the Hand – Joe Exotic’s Cocaine Cougars

Band of the Hand (1986) is about as ’80s a movie as we can get. Produced by Michael Mann and set in Miami, it’s the tale of a Vietnam Vet (Stephen Lang) who whips a team of juvenile delinquents into shape by training them in the Everglades and then helping them end the reign of drug dealers Laurence Fishburne and James Remar. Oh yeah, and a very young Lauren Holley is along for the ride. Will an explosive finale, great soundtrack and even better ’80s fashions ripped out of Miami Vice be enough to get Jox from us?

Second half Chuck reviews The Jungle Book (2016) and The Angry Birds Movie (2016), we discuss Captain America: Civil War’s airport fight a little more in-depth, and take some listener voice- and e-mails. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 014 – Amityville Dollhouse

Gen 1 of Amityville comes to a close as we discuss 1996’s AMITYVILLE DOLLHOUSE, the 8th entry in the franchise. Can a family escape the evil clutches of a spooky dollhouse? Come find out!

BMFcast357 – Dollman – “Dullman”

Dollman (1991) brings back the triple threat of Tim Thomerson, Charles Band, and Albert Pyun in the story of a hard-boiled alien cop who happens to be the size of a doll when he crash lands on earth. Can he stop a ruthless group of gangbangers led by Jackie Earle Haley and the disembodied doll-sized head of the criminal he was chasing?

In the second half it’s time for our annual GOLDEN JOX AWARDS! We tell you our favorite movies of the year for 2016 in what becomes a super-sized second half. Enjoy!
