BMFcast 596 – Sugar Hill – Baron Zombie

Sugar Hill (1974) is our final Blaxploitation History Month movie, and thankfully it’s a banger. Diana “Sugar” Hill’s boyfriend is murdered by the mob. She then does what anyone would do; goes to her voodoo priestess grandmother, who calls on Baron Samedi to summon zombies to do Sugar’s revenging. Don’t sleep on this one, it’s a blaxploitation zombie movie, so the only question is how many Jox it will get!(edited)

BMFcast557 – Zombie High – Get Busy Child

Zombie High (1987) is neither about zombies nor high school. Adult children at a private academy get turned into 80s yuppies so that the staff can drink their sweet, sweet goo and live forever. There’s not a lot to discuss which is why the conversation devolves into nothing but Blacula and Supernatural talk. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 198 – Resident Evil Apocalypse

Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) is the second entry in the franchise and there’s so much baffling stuff in it that it broke our brains, rendering us nearly incapable of recapping it properly. But we try.

This episode was previously premium Patreon content which originally posted on October 12th, 2020.

BMFcast488 – Dead Trigger – Thanks Obama Bridge

Dead Trigger (2019) is a movie about Dolph Lundgren training a bunch of not-soliders to fight zombies, and they all pretty much die as a result. It’s terrible.

In the second half we’ve got a lot to catch up on including BJ’s thoughts on Dolemite is My Name (2019), Maki’s rewatch of Watchmen (2009) and Evil Dead 2 (1987), Harlo having words for Pet Sematary (2019), Good Boys (2019), Stranger Things Season 3 and Living With Yourself, and Chuck’s got quick thoughts on Trainwreck (2015), Crawl (2019), Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003), Revolver (2005) and Runner Runner (2013). Finally we wrap up with your emails. Enjoy!

BMFcast465 – Raw Force – Cocaine Art Garfunkel

Raw Force (1982) is the beginning of Force May-jeure and what an insane thing this movie is. The Burbank Karate Club travels to Warriors Island via The Worst Cruise Line in the World™ and ends up battling sadistic monks and zombie kung fu killers. It’s nuts!

The second half is ENTIRELY Avengers: Endgame talk with 100% spoilers at all times. You’ve been warned.

BMFcast297 – Copsicle

Magic Cop (1990) is our wrap up to Coptober. Also known as Mr. Vampire 5, this movie involves a Taoist cop who fights a drug ring who uses enthralled vampires to move product. Yep. That’s what it’s about.

Second half we discuss Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, Knock Knock, Olympus Has Fallen and Army of Darkness. Plus take listener correspondence. Enjoy!

BMFcast290 – Average Spectral Boning

Prom Night III: The Last Kiss (1990) is a hard movie to categorize. It’s supposed to be a horror sequel to a prior BMFcast reviewed movie but ends up being much more of a comedy spoof. This probably wasn’t helped by the fact we watched the US DVD cut which is edited down to near TV movie level of sanitized. But somehow we all still enjoy it pretty well.

Second half we discuss Flash Gordon, The Legend of the Drunken Master and Hercules. Plus more including listener correspondence. Enjoy!

BMFcast226 – The Core of the Modern Prometheus

Now we know what it's like to BE bad!

I, Frankenstein (2014) is our movie of the week. Your friends and neighbors, the Bad Movie Fiends, make the pledge to talk about this movie that has just come into our possession. The missing movie that was originally supposed to come out in early 2013 but found itself in a rabbit hole perhaps should have just been erased. Watch it on Thursday or any given Sunday and you’ll see that in the company of men that there were no reservations about earning a paycheck. Instead we’re happy having conversations with other women like nurse Betty and thank you for smoking. What we’re saying is we’d be fine if this movie neverwas.

Second half we listen to Chuck discuss his odd assortment of movies watched while under the influence of some kind of sickness and then delve deep into listener correspondence. Enjoy!

BMFcast76 – Piscopo’d

He was one week past retirement!

Dead Heat (1988) is reviewed this week. As it was presented to us: “Treat Williams, Joe Piscopo & Vincent Price. Zombie buddy cops!” We had to watch it obviously.

Then we talk Hobo with a Shotgun and Your Highness. Then we speculate on the future projects of Duncan Jones and get objective and talk Atlas Shrugged: Part I. Plus, listener voicemail!
