BMFcast430 – American Cyborg Steel Warrior – Jarsus

American Cyborg Steel Warrior (1993) is a silly title for this very late stage Cannon Films effort that features a lady, a cyborg, the star of Hologram Man and a fetus in a jar. They’re all going from one side of Charleston, SC to the other, for varying reasons. Along the way bullets fly and everyone gets kicked in the face!

In the second half, Maki has thoughts on Solo: A Star Wars Story and Spaceballs. Chuck spends time on Amazon Prime with Electric Dreams and A Very British Scandal. And Harlo enjoys several Coen Brothers movies. You enjoy too!

BMFcast Extra 081 – Brenda Starr

Brenda Starr (1989) is good starring vehicle for Brooke Shields but it stumbles along the way for reasons that are difficult to nail down. However, Timothy Dalton is here to be awesome and attempt to save the day.

BMFcast429 – Best of the Best – Best They Could Do

Best of the Best (1989) features several Oscar contenders attempting to give Oscar-worthy performances in this Rocky IV “tribute” about an American karate kwan do arts team headed by Eric Roberts and coached by James Earl Jones battling the evil Koreans.

In the second half, Harlo gushes over A Quiet Place and the second season of GLOW, Chuck plays with dolls and talks The Toys That Made Us, and Maki has an Archer / Atlanta check in. Enjoy!

BMFcast428 – Hercules – No Anesthesia Greek Vasectomy

Hercules (1983) is the Golan-Globus version of the “classic” strong man tale that features wizards and witches and feats of strength and Sybil Danning’s breasts. It’s a mixed bag, but there’s potential fun within.

In the second half, Maki talks Jurassic Park Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Tag (2018), Harlo attempts to have fun with Death of Stalin (2018), and then we unload on delusional Star Wars nerds for a nice cathartic release at the end of the episode. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 080 – Jake Speed

Jake Speed (1986) is a weird one. He’s a fictional pulp hero in a world where all the other pulp heroes we already know apparently actually exist. Maybe. It’s hard to tell because the movie never settles on an actual story.

BMFcast427 – The Hidden – Beep Out

The Hidden (1987) is an underrated sci-fi actioner that some would say is too good for our show. So what? It’s awesome and we watched it. Join us as we praise this goofy little thing.

In the second half it’s time for TV Corner as Harlo streams Cobra Kai and Con Men, BJ marathons more Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Chuck gets the sads watching Showtime’s Patrick Melrose. Enjoy!

BMFcast426 – The Soldier – Klaus Can’t Ski

The Soldier (1982) is the movie we saw clips of during our viewing of Shakedown. As it turns out, clips are the best way to enjoy The Solider, because most of it is boring as hell. However, it does feature the 10th appearance of Steve James on the show, and that’s always a good thing.

In the second half we’ve got Maki checking out Oceans 8 (2018) and Harlo giving I, Tonya (2017) a whirl. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 079 – Marmaduke

Marmaduke (2010) was a mistake.

BMFcast425 – The Hurricane Heist – Will and Maggie Grace

The Hurricane Heist (2018) is another crazy weather movie, but this time directed by The Fast and the Furious’ Rob Cohen. It’s Hard Rain meets Twister and is mostly shot in Bulgaria… but there’s some great insanity to be had here. It’s Category Fun!

In the second half we’ve got hot takes on Solo: A Star Wars Story, another take on Deadpool 2, and an old school take on 1999’s Mystery Men. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 078 – The Perils of Gwendoline

The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik Yak (1984) is Tawny Kitaen’s film debut and it’s a baffling motion picture based on a bondage comic strip from an adult magazine of the 40s and 50s. The last 3rd of the film in particular is a WTF-a-palooza. Enjoy!
