BMFcast Extra 175 – The Chaperone

The Chaperone (2011) features wrestler Triple H in a family version of The Rock’s movie Faster. He’s a ex-con getaway driver who has to decide between his kid (Ariel Winter) or crime upon release from jail. Hijinks ensue.

The BMFcast Variety Hour 035 – The Hallmarks of Being a Hallmark Movie

Tom & Jerry (2021) is the latest thing we’ve got to discuss, but not for long because it’s Tom & Jerry. So instead we have more thoughts on The Map of Tiny Perfect Things (2021) and then move on to Palmer (2021) and On the Rocks (2020). Towards the end there’s a whirlwind of discussion around Allen vs. Farrow, Bottle Rocket, and then the nerve of people getting on Twitter and saying they like something. Enjoy!

The BMFcast Variety Hour 034 – Face Tattoos

The Map of Tiny Perfect Things (2021) is a nice thing and a thing you should watch on Amazon Prime. Things don’t stay so nice though as we transition into Cosmos, then Allen vs. Farrow, and then the New York Times Presents documentary series which includes the Britney Spears saga. Then we get random with talk of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, Crisis on Infinite Earths and finally Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 174 – Malibu High

Malibu High (1979) is one of the sleaziest movies we’ve watched thus far. 30 year old high schooler Kim breaks up with her boyfriend so she gets mean, does drugs, sleeps with everyone, becomes a hitman and then is killed by police. Enjoy!

The BMFcast Variety Hour 033 – Not Qualified

Judas and the Black Messiah (2021) and One Night in Miami (2021) are our latest viewings, but we’ve also got things to say about Tenet, the Bill and Ted trilogy, more DC products including the new animated Harley Quinn series, and finally spending Valentine’s Day on the Chungking Express. Xiǎngshòu!

The BMFcast Variety Hour 032 – Thunderin’ Horsewater

The Little Things (2021) is the newest thing we talk about, but not for long because it’s not very good. Instead we shift to franchise talk, as we’ve been busy rewatching the Mad Max movies and the Lord of the Rings trilogy and those Zach Snyder DC movies. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 173 – Bushwick

Bushwick (2017) stars Dave Bautista and Brittany Snow as two New Yorkers who have to try to survive the initial hours of a new civil war. Usually we don’t do this but… go watch the movie first before listening to this episode (or reading anything else about it). It’s currently on Netflix. It’s one of those movies where the less you know about it going in, the better.

The BMFcast Variety Hour 031 – Asterisk Golden Jox

The 2020 Golden Jox Awards are here! Join us as we look back at a truly bizarre year of entertainment and tell you all about our favorite films of the year.

BMFcast Extra 172 – Universal Soldier Regeneration

Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2009) is technically the fifth installment of the franchise that peaked with the first film and has never come close since. And sadly this is a shot in Bulgarian rubble film with a sad performance from JCVD and an absolutely bizarre turn from Dolph Lundgren (who, don’t forget, was thrown into a wood chipper at the end of the first one).

BMFcast Extra 171 – Dirt

Dirt (2018) is a commercial for an off road racing league that no one ever says the name of, which is REALLY weird considering how product placement-y this movie is. It’s an after school special starring Kevin Dillon made in 2018.
