BMFcast Extra 014 – Amityville Dollhouse

Gen 1 of Amityville comes to a close as we discuss 1996’s AMITYVILLE DOLLHOUSE, the 8th entry in the franchise. Can a family escape the evil clutches of a spooky dollhouse? Come find out!

BMFcast357 – Dollman – “Dullman”

Dollman (1991) brings back the triple threat of Tim Thomerson, Charles Band, and Albert Pyun in the story of a hard-boiled alien cop who happens to be the size of a doll when he crash lands on earth. Can he stop a ruthless group of gangbangers led by Jackie Earle Haley and the disembodied doll-sized head of the criminal he was chasing?

In the second half it’s time for our annual GOLDEN JOX AWARDS! We tell you our favorite movies of the year for 2016 in what becomes a super-sized second half. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 013 – Amityville A New Generation

The 7th entry in the never-connected Amityville universe features a spooky mirror, artists living in a loft, and the combined talents of Richard Roundtree, David Naughton and Terry O’Quinn. From the director of COP DOG! Enjoy.

BMFcast354 – Johnny Mnemonic – Dolph’n Friends

Johnny Mnemonic (1995) marks Keanu Reeves’ official first-half debut, and he’s joined by a bevy of BMFcast alums including Ice-T, Udo Kier, Henry Rollins, and Dolph Lundgren. Keanu is a future courier, trading corporate secrets in his brain. Every one wants what he’s got, or wants him dead. If’s a wonderland of mid-’90s cyber-whatever. This is a fun one.

After the break, we discuss HBO’s Westworld (2016) and get into spoiler speculation in weekly reviews before Maki gets all indie in his year-end catch-up, talking about The Fits, Green Room and The Witch (or The VVitch, if you are so inclined.) Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 012 – Amityville It’s About Time

Back on track after the abysmal 4th and 5th entries in the Amityville franchise. This time, a spooky clock infects a house with spooky time, and there are spooky dogs, spooky sex and spooky Dick Miller. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 011 – Amityville 4 and 5

More like Amityville Snore, am I right? Yep, I am. Because Amityville: The Evil Escapes (1989) and The Amityville Curse (1990) will cure your insomnia wicked quick. Luckily our discussion is fun, so come enjoy our misery.

BMFcast346 – Blood Warriors – Blood Bore-iors

Blood Warriors (1993) continues Bloodtober with the return of decorated BMFcast alums Sam Firstenberg and David Bradley! Wes is a con who gets bailed out by his old marine buddy Keith from Jakarta. After Keith’s death, Wes must battle a drug cartel, all while fending off advances from Karen, Keith’s sister. From there it takes some odd turns. It’s a random one, for sure.

Second half Maki talks about The Thing (2011) before we get into a new batch of listener correspondence. Enjoy!

BMFcast342 – Prayer of the Rollerboys – Make America Skate Again

bmf-ep342-slider

Prayer of the Rollerboys (1991) brings Skatember into the distant future, where gangs of trenchcoated drug-dealing rollerbladers control the post-apocalyptic streets of Los Angeles. Is Corey Haim the only one who can stop them? Will he need help from Patricia Arquette? How awesome is Mark Pellegrino in this? All these questions will be answered, and more!

Second half we talk about Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016) before declaring it our shortest half ever. Enjoy!

BMFcast339 – Out for Justice – Crackheads Get Cracked Heads

BMF-Ep339-slider

Out for Justice (1991) brings back Steven Seagal as a “Brooklyn” detective on the hunt for his partner’s killer. It’s from the writer of Road House, so you know it’s already got that going for it. There’s numerous broken limbs, an unhinged, crack-smoking William Forsythe and some great action scenes, along with some amazingly bad italian accents. Did this push it to the upper level of BMFcast favorites?

After the break Maki has a Sausage Party (2016), Chuck recommends you watch The Signal (2014) as soon as possible with as little information about it as possible, we take some listener correspondence, and even give a Patreon update. Enjoy!

BMFcast336 – Notger Hauer

BMF-Ep336-slider

Watchers 3 (1994) takes us back to the Watchers franchise and woof, what a dog of a movie this is. Did we mention that it’s our #Dogust movie? Well, it is! So that’s something.

In the second half, Harlo continues his journey through Crystal Lake with Friday the 13th parts 7 and 8, and then we talk about how lights work. It’s entertaining and informative. Enjoy!
