BMFcast446 – Altitude – Sick Bags

Altitude (2017) had Dolph Lundgren on set for maybe a day and Denise Richards on set for far too long. It’s one of those airline hijacking things that is completely absurd but not in a fun way. Perhaps this genre is done?

In the second half we’re still doing Golden Jox prep as Harlo and BJ stream The Ballad of Buster Scruggs and Chuck gushes over Upgrade. Plus, documentaries VHS Lives and Nintendo Quest. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 097 – The Island

The Island (2005) is our second film with that title, although this one is Michael Bay’s somewhat forgotten tale of clones wanting freedom from their jumpsuit lifestyle. It’s a better version of Parts: The Clonus Horror, but is it good?

BMFcast445 – Original Gangstas – Turn Your Head And Coffy

Original Gangstas (1996) is how we’re celebrating Blaxploitation Friday this year! This 20 year old film is a supposedly a celebration of a genre from 20 years earlier but is more in line with the 90s gangs genre instead of the Blaxploitation stuff we know and love. But all your favorites are here (although some only for a scene or two) and there’s something to be said for that.

In the second half, Chuck has a recommendation-palooza and he says you should watch the following 2018 releases: Acts of Violence, Bent, Anon, Skyscraper, The Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Solo: A Star Wars Story. All good! All Chuck approved!

BMFcast Extra 096 – The Michael Bay Video Explosion

In this very special episode of BMFcast Extra, we watch 34 Michael Bay-directed music videos and then talk about them all in one jumbled hour. We prove how little we know about early 90s Top 40 music. Enjoy!

If you want to do your homework first, here’s a link to the playlist we used for this experiment.

BMFcast444 – Night of the Kickfighters – Gunchucks

Night of the Kickfighters (1988?) is another one of those baffling motion pictures made by people you’ve never heard of and featuring Adam West in a small role. An elite squad of footpunchers bands together to rescue the daughter of a man who’s made a death ray for the government. Typical Tuesday.

In the second half we quickly discuss Hotel Artemis (2018) and Johnny English (2003). Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 095 – Bad Boys

Bad Boys (1995) is the first ever Michael Bay film, and one we’ve talked about on BMFcast Prime several times over the years. Now, finally, once and for all, we will come to a definitive opinion.

BMFcast443 – Vigilante Force – The Zooks

Vigilante Force (1976) is Bucktown, but with white folks. Jan-Michael Vincent recruits his brother Kris Kristofferson to come and clean up his small town, but Kristofferson has other ideas. People get punched and everything explodes!

In the second half we wrap up spooky movie season with some chat about The Thing and Poltergeist and then Chuck has some words for Justice League and the DC Universe in general. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 094 – Transformers Dark of the Moon

Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) is redemption for the franchise that went horrifically off the rails in the previous installment. It’s not great, but it’s pretty good, thanks mostly in part to the second one sucking so badly.
