BMFcast Extra 078 – The Perils of Gwendoline
The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik Yak (1984) is Tawny Kitaen’s film debut and it’s a baffling motion picture based on a bondage comic strip from an adult magazine of the 40s and 50s. The last 3rd of the film in particular is a WTF-a-palooza. Enjoy!

BMFcast424 – The Double 0 Kid – Reverse Lobot
The Double 0 Kid (1992) is how Mayhaim ends. Whimper, not a bang, all of that. From two of the minds that brought us Never Too Young To Die, this accidental spy adventure has the cast to pull it off but instead feels like a rough draft of a student film.
In the second half things go wildly off the rails in between talk of Deadpool 2, Red Sparrow, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and another viewing of Avengers: Infinity War. How things get to where they end up, we’ll never understand. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 077 – Dick Tracy
Dick Tracy (1990) was that summer’s Batman, except that it left the cultural zeitgeist almost immediately and was never mentioned again. What’s it like to revisit this summer blockbuster with modern sensibilities? Hit play and find out!

BMFcast423 – Demolition University – The Absence of Alan Thicke
Demolition University (1997) is the immediate sequel to Demolition High that never mentions the existence of the first film. This time, Corey Haim is a 30 year old college student who sneaks into a field trip to the local power plant and guess what? Terrorists. Robert Forster and Laraine Newman are along for the ride.
In the second half Chuck goes down a dark Corey hole as he views License to Drive, and Dream a Little Dream 1 & 2 for the very first time. Results are mixed. Harlo checks out Annihilation and Game Night, and then we wrap up with your emails. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 076 – Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold
Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold (1986) is Cannon’s immediate follow up to King Solomon’s Mines and this time we’re pretty much in agreement on how things turned out. James Earl Jones is along for the ride this time, which COULD have been a good thing…

BMFcast422 – Fast Getaway – I Love You Honeybunny
Fast Getaway (1991) is a dysfunctional family drama sandwiched between two capable action sequences, seasoned with entirely too much Corey Haim energy and the kitchen forgot the side of Cynthia Rothrock that you ordered.
In the second half, BJ talks about the new Netflix anime Aggretsuko, Maki’s back for the new season of Archer, and then we get caught up on some correspondence. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 075 – Tarzan and Jane and the Lost City
It’s our diamond anniversary (just go with it) and we’re celebrating with a double feature of 1987’s Jane and the Lost City and 1998’s Tarzan and the Lost City. Both feature groups of folks seeking a lost city of treasures somewhere in Africa with varying results.

BMFcast421 – Demolition High – The Power of Alan Thicke
Demolition High (1996) kicks off May-Haim, which is our unfortunate theme month celebrating the action career of former teen heartthrob Corey Haim. In this Jim Wynorski joint he’s a high school student (uh huh) who battles terrorists who’ve taken his classmates hostage. His Dad Alan Thicke is the local police chief who is more interested in making dry comments than saving his son’s life. It’s kinda fun, and is currently on Amazon Prime as of this posting.
In the second half, Harlo briefly talks through the finale of The Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018) before we dive into Avengers: Infinity War (2018) with both non spoilery talk at first and then full on plot detail discussion. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 074 – Remo Williams The Adventure Begins
Remo Williams The Adventure Begins (1985) is our next fictional pulp movie. It stars Fred Ward as a hero no one likes and Joel Grey as a Korean man. Kate Mulgrew stars as “the female of the movie”. Great stunts, but it’s a mess!
