BMFcast Extra 010 – Amityville 3-D

900full-amityville-3-d

Who would have thought that after watching the theatrical Amityville trilogy, Amityville 2 would be the absolute winner in the quality department? This sorta-third installment has 3-D gags galore and Meg Ryan, but little else. Enjoy our sadness.

BMFcast351 – The Apple – Wacky Acrobat Yoga

apple-4

The Apple (1980) is another long requested title. It’s from the early days of Cannon Films, and it’s INSANE. So insane that Maki couldn’t handle it and had to skip the show.

Second half has talk of the director’s cut of That Thing You Do, Lights Out, both Escape From New York and Escape From L.A., and some TV Talk™ with The Grand Tour and Mars. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 009 – Amityville II The Possession

amityville_ii_the_possession_austr1sh

Amityville II is the odd case of a sequel being WAY better than the original, despite having a WILD amount of problems in it. Come listen to our breakdown of this underrated sequel!

BMFcast350 – Ghosts of Mars – Ghosts of Gwars

Ghosts of Mars (2001) has been requested so often that episode 350 felt like the proper time to review it. Ice Cube, Natasha Henstridge, Pam Grier and Jason Statham must battle Mars-infected zombies, trust issues, and really, really bad editing. Can we (and John Carpenter) survive this one?

After the break we talk a little more about Sausage Party (2016) and take some listener correspondence. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 008 – The Amityville Horror

screen-shot-2016-11-08-at-10-57-29-am

It’s fall, it’s kinda still Halloween, and there are at least 17 movies in the Amityville franchise. That should keep us busy on BMFcast Extra until 2018 or so! First up, the original “classic” from 1979, featuring James Brolin’s hair and Jody the demon pig child-thing. Enjoy!

BMFcast349 – American Rampage – American Sampage

bmf-ep349-slider

American Rampage (1989) is very American, but doesn’t have quite as much Rampaging as we hoped. A pair of cops are on the trail of drug smugglers or something? But there are plenty of random explosions, character deaths, and random nudity which gets our attention. Is it enough?

In the second half Harlo gives his take on Doctor Strange (2016) and we take on some listener mails and recommendations. Enjoy!

BMFcast348 – Eliminators – Fruity Cavemen?

bmf-ep348-slider

Eliminators (1986) returns us to the fun lunacy of Charles Band’s Empire Pictures productions. When you have a mandroid, a scientist, a mercenary pirate, a ninja, and a robot sidekick joining forces to take on a time-traveling villain then you’ve got a recipe for success, my friend. Did we mention they fight cavemen, too? This movie’s got it all.

Second half we really load up on movies with discussion of a bunch of 2016 releases (Ghostbusters, London Has Fallen, Mascots, The Neon Demon), then go back in time with some older horror with An American Werewolf In London (1981) and the Scream series. Enjoy!
