BMFcast Extra 099 – Pain and Gain

Pain and Gain (2013) is the tale of three swole boys doing crimes, so we enlisted the two swolest members of the podcast to talk about it. It’s Michael Bay’s most non-Michael Bay-iest movie yet!

BMFcast436 – Walking Tall – The Choo Choo Veggie

Walking Tall (2004) is a movie with The Rock that we all ignored for some reason, but are thrilled as hell that we finally watched. He’s a war hero who comes home to a town filled with corruption, so he grabs a big stick and beats everyone up. It’s great! And brisk.

In the second half we self-promote ourselves as Chuck talks up the new season of 31 Days of Horror and BJ debuts his new Twitch channel Bedtime Story TV. Enjoy!

BMFcast369 – Ready To Rumble – Good Nachos

Ready to Rumble (2000) is the conclusion to this year’s March to Wrestlemania. Two simpletons (David Arquette and Scott Caan) trek across America to help disgraced WCW superstar Jimmy King (Oliver Platt) reclaim his throne. Randy Savage, Goldberg, Sting and countless others weave in and out of the story along the way.

The second half has Harlo briefly discussing Marvel’s Iron Fist before the conversation devolves completely into plans for BMFcon 2018 and the horrifying surprises that lie within. Enjoy!

BMFcast368 – Countdown – The Wrong Dolph

Countdown (2016) continues the March to Wrestlemania as Dolph Ziggler is tracking down a child with a ticking time bomb attached to him. Kane is the police chief who yells at him a lot and Katharine Isabelle is the internal affairs agent who’s there to shut him down. Or help him. Or something. Also, there are lots of other wrestlers.

Second half has Harlo continuing his pinball project with CGI nightmare Lost in Space (1998), while Chuck gives his thoughts on Luc Besson’s Lucy (2014), Marvel’s Doctor Strange (2016), and Peter Berg’s Deepwater Horizon (2016). Enjoy!

BMFcast366 – Terminal Rush – Dragon Ass

Terminal Rush (1996) seemed like a great way to celebrate our 8th(!) anniversary, as well as continue the March To Wrestlemania. Rowdy Roddy Piper leading a gang of terrorists, with only Don “The Dragon” Wilson to stop him in a “Die Hard on a dam” movie? What could go wrong? Sadly, a lot.

After the break Harlo weighs in on Logan (2017), Maki continues the comic booking with Doctor Strange (2016), and we discuss Disney’s new golden age of animation with Moana (2016). All this and plenty of e-mails and reminiscing. Enjoy!

BMFcast365 – Firepower – The Mediocre Warrior

Firepower (1993) brings back BMFcast alums Gary Daniels and Chad McQueen as cops from the distant future of 2007, on the hunt for The Swordsman (played by Jim Hellwig aka The Ultimate Warrior) and a cure for AIDS. To find both they’ll need to enter an underground martial arts tournament. As you do. This year’s Road To Wrestlemania is officially here, and we’re on it.

After the break it’s a packed second half with discussion of Netflix’s Santa Clarita Diet (2017), Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000), and Aaron Sorkin’s Charlie Wilson’s War (2007) and Malice (1993). We also discuss the many great roles of Bill Paxton before taking a boatload of e-mails and voicemails. Enjoy!
