BMFcast428 – Hercules – No Anesthesia Greek Vasectomy

Hercules (1983) is the Golan-Globus version of the “classic” strong man tale that features wizards and witches and feats of strength and Sybil Danning’s breasts. It’s a mixed bag, but there’s potential fun within.

In the second half, Maki talks Jurassic Park Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Tag (2018), Harlo attempts to have fun with Death of Stalin (2018), and then we unload on delusional Star Wars nerds for a nice cathartic release at the end of the episode. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 067 – Beastmaster III

Beastmaster III (1996) is the final Beastmaster film and is a TV-movie that plays like a pilot for a proposed Beastmaster series that never took off. Marc Singer is back, still a good sport, and this time brings genre staples David Warner, Tony Todd and Casper Van Dien along. Bonus: The pilot episode of 1999’s unrelated Beastmaster TV show is discussed!

BMFcast Extra 066 – Beastmaster 2

Beastmaster 2: Through the Portal of Time (1991) is the epitome of what we do here. You’ll know if you’re on board or not very early on in this “Marc Singer’s Beastmaster travels to 90s Los Angeles to stop his previously unknown brother-wizard from acquiring a nuke” thing when the one liners start. B-movie alums galore are along for the ride, including Robert Z’Dar, Michael Berryman and Wings Hauser.

BMFcast Extra 059 – The Beastmaster

The Beastmaster (1982) is this week’s Too Long For BMFcast Prime movie, which is a shame that everyone isn’t here to enjoy it… because it’s the goddamn Beastmaster. Childhood memories will be revealed, along with lots of Conan the Barbarian/Destroyer discussion as well. Enjoy!

BMFcast195 – The Scorpion’s Eyebrow

The Scorpion King (2002) is how we kick off Rocktober! The Rock stars in a loosely based spinoff of The Mummy movies in what ultimately is a pretty decent, albeit PG-13, sword & sorcery movie.

Second half we discuss plenty of random stuff as it’s mostly listener correspondence and random tangents. Enjoy!

BMFcast193 – Evil Medieval, Esq

The Barbarians (1987) fit all the requirements of what we’d been wanting for a while in a Sword & Sorcery movie. It’s goofy, it’s misplaced, it’s Italian and it’s a Cannon Films production. But does it all work?

Second half we talk Riddick, Oblivion, Now You See Me and more. Plus listener correspondence and other general tomfoolery. Enjoy!

BMFcast83 – Raptus Violentiae

Vallejo!!!

Deathstalker (1983) is reviewed and we feel violated. Just kidding, we totally consented to watch it! SmarmyJerkface Chuck also consented to join us for this one.

Second half we discuss Super 8, Super and From Paris With Love. Plus Zapped! isn’t the film we remember it being. Enjoy!

BMFcast60 – Wrecker of Civilizations

Yor villiage is not long for this world.

Yor, The Hunter from the Future (1983) graces us with his presence this week. Even if all he does is go around and wreck everything. If he shows up in your village, it’s probably time to call a real estate agent, because property values are going to go down quick.

Then in the second half we discuss Maki’s Evil Dead 2 Halloween tradition, Gamer and Jonah Hex among other things. Could we actually be looking forward to a Nicolas Cage movie in Drive Angry 3D? Plus a quick voicemail challenge from Clint the Imaginary Truck Driver from Madison. I think we should make his imaginary life into a movie.
