BMFcast363 – Cool Breeze – Fart Buster
Cool Breeze (1972) brings BMFcast alum Thalmus Rasulala back for Blaxploitation History Month in a heist movie gone wrong. He’s the ringleader of a not-necessarily-trustworthy gang in this blaxploitation remake of The Asphalt Jungle (1950).
In the second half Harlo continues his Pinball Project with Congo (1995), Chuck goes back to Jack Reacher in Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016), Tim Burtons it up with Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (2016), and we also discuss a little shoot-em-up type movie called John Wick: Chapter 2. On top of that, we announce a contest you’ll want to listen for as well as a whole new slew of Patreon-exclusive podcasts. (Hint: if you like Doctor Who, Star Trek, or Futurama you may be interested!) Enjoy!

BMFcast361 – Shaft – Bumpy Shaft
Shaft (1971) begins our 6th annual Blaxploitation History Month with a classic. Richard Roundtree plays the titular character, a private detective caught up in a kidnapping case and a mafia turf war. Does it live up to its theme song and reputation?
After the break, Harlo gives his thoughts on Arrival (2016), Maki talks about his favorite movie, Out of Sight (1998), we take some listener mails and discuss dollar theater experiences of our pasts. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 007 – Mammoth and Thank God It’s Friday
Episode seven is the finale for the Summer Movie Series and we end it with a dumb joke as we cover Summer Glau in 2006’s MAMMOTH and Donna Summer in 1978’s THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY. What a way to end this particular theme. Enjoy!

BMFcast341 – Thrashin’ – Jackson Confetti
Thrashin’ (1986) continues Skatember with the age-old story of a skateboarder and his newfound girlfriend, separated by rival skate gangs. This early Josh Brolin movie has a LOT of skateboarding montages, not so much plot. But it does have Sherilyn Fenn, so you won’t hear us complaining.
After the break Harlo checks in on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows before we take some listener e-mails that lead to discussions of movies & TV shows we instantly hated or instantly loved. Enjoy!

BMFcast333 – Barb Tire
Superfights (1995) is one hell of a movie. This tale of an energetic youngster who joins a UFC/WWE/crime syndicate is CONSTANT action, training for action, or talking about action or training for action. It’s exhausting in the best way, so much so that our first half is packed!
The second half is no slouch though, as Chuck takes a look at the BMFcast BC movies Road House 2: Last Call and Navy Seals. Also, Harlo has the first two Friday the 13th movies along with Deathgasm and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Lastly, BJ defends Ghostbusters 2 from the haters, which leads to inevitable talk about those pesky Ghostbusters reboot haters. Enjoy!

BMFcast318 – Sit, Stay, Heel Turn
Russell Madness (2015) is, predictably, the conclusion to the March To Russell Madness! Robert Vince returns to direct another tale of talking dogs and monkeys doing things they shouldn’t be doing. Like joining pro wrestling federations. Will we become Russell Maniacs by the time it’s all over?
After the break Harlo gives his take on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Maki easily recommends The Big Short and we check out another batch of listener correspondence. Enjoy!

BMFcast311 – Please Hammer, Hurt Them
Hammer (1972) continues Blaxploitation History Month with a Fred Williamson classic. He’s a boxer who wants to keep his head down and his nose clean but the entire world wants to tell him he’s terrible. William Smith is along to keep the evil racist quotient as high as possible.
Second half BJ talks Danger 5, Maki reminds us that Unmasking The Idol is awesome, and Harlo visits his vampire side with The Hunger and Near Dark. Then we close out with a new batch of listener e-mails and voicemails. Enjoy!

BMFcast310 – Dollemite
The Human Tornado (1976) begins this year’s Blaxploitation History Month! Rudy Ray Moore returns in the sequel to Dolemite. With a cast of just-as-crazy characters, does this sequel measure up?
After the break BJ gives us his thoughts on Ex Machina and we take a ton of listener correspondence!
We also have a special announcement. We’ve finally launched our Patreon! Plenty of goals have already been met, including a bonus podcast just for contributors. You can find all the information right here. Thanks, and enjoy!

BMFcast274 – Juicy Cocaine
Cartel (1990) is our return to the works of John Stewart, director of Action USA, a BMFcast classic. Can an unhinged Don Stroud and plenty of exploding vehicles bring the same joy?
Second half it’s supersized and it’s all Mad Max: Fury Road. Should you skip the 3D and see it in 2D? (YES.) Can 98% on RottenTomatoes actually hurt a movie? How much hyperbole is too much hyperbole? How awesome is Imperator Furiosa? All these questions and more will be answered. Enjoy!
