BMFcast 600 – Unmasking the Idol – So Long and Thanks For All the Jox
Unmasking The Idol (1986) brings us back to the world of superspy Duncan Jax for our final episode. In the precursor to BMFcast fave Order of the Black Eagle, Duncan and his team must stop Scarlet Leader from starting WW3 by invading his island lair. It’s a great time, and a fitting way to wrap up 15 years and 600+ episodes of fun.
Thank you for giving us your ears for over 900 hours of hollerin’ about robits, ninjas, Steve James, and sometimes, puppies. This isn’t goodbye though, it’s “see you later.”
Crash and Burn,

Goodbye, Comments
We’ve decided to go ahead and disable comments on posts. That doesn’t mean we don’t want to hear from you! Please feel free to drop into our (usually) active Discord server, comment via email/Garfield phone, or get to us on the various socials media. We looked and we had nearly 10k bogus spam users created on the site and we just don’t know what kind of election-rigging-site-hacking-credit-fraud shenanigans they were up to but we decided to let the titans of tech handle it rather than us. Sorry if your comments magically went *poof* out of existence but there it is. Please know that we still love you and want to hear from each and every one. Except that one person. You know who you are and what you did.
Support our work on Patreon!
Well, folks, here it is. There comes a time in every artistic endeavor where you have to beg for cash and this is ours. Instead of putting you through a thousand horrible ad reads for stamps or audiobooks, though, we wanted to beg directly to the people that matter: YOU, our fans! So, what does this mean? For the most part, absolutely nothing! We’re not going away any time soon and we’re never ever going to charge for our weekly quest to bring you the best of the worst. However, we want to cover some of our costs, and be able to bring you even better things in the future. We have a few fun things lined up for if we can hit some of what we think are pretty reasonable goals, and a few fun rewards for those of you that are willing to put your money where our mouths are. So, take a look, donate if you can (no pressure! We know what it’s like to be broke because we are.) and please share this and us with your fellow bad movie lovers! BMFcast out! (Pay us.)
Street Urchins ASSEMBLE!
Due to recent economic events, we find ourselves at a crossroads… wait no that’s not it at all. Look, we the good people of BMFcast are hoping that you, the even better people of the Internet, will help us out from time to time. Our first goal is helping both Chuck and Harlo attend DragonCon in Atlanta this year so that they may meet some of you crazy kids and come back with tales of nerddom for all. Also it is coming time for hosting bills and a lot of other whiny Sally Struthers hungry kids guilt trip stuff. Look, don’t you want a chance to meet this guy?
So if you can find it in your hearts to help, no matter the amount, click the donate button over to the right. We assure you it will always go directly to bringing more to the BMFcast in some way or another. The children are our future but they’re young so they’ve got plenty of time.
Scheduling Change
As we talked about in the latest episode (42) we are changing our schedule around slightly. What’s this mean to you? That’s why I decided to break this down.
When we started No Quarters we thought we would just alternate our podcasts weekly with the result of each of them being released bi-weekly. Problem is, sometimes we would not have enough to really generate content for NQ since that requires us to have played some, if not a plethora of, games. A gaming podcast where you haven’t played any games doesn’t make for a lot of fun to listen to. So we’ve decided to back that down to once a month to allow for us to get some gaming in between.
So what’s this mean for BMFcast? Simple. One more episode a month on average. We’ll now do three weeks in a row of BMF to one NQ. We’re also are on a mission (from God) to make the posting time a lot closer to when we record. I take most of that blame as life would come up from time to time and the editing process would always get bumped. Now I am going to attempt to always have casts posted on Fridays. Most of the time first thing in the morning but worst case by the end of the day. The irony is the first one where this was a silent promise got posted Saturday morning. So sue me, I’m getting over a cold.
Well that’s the lowdown from us here behind the curtain. Now you’ll excuse me as I can’t squeeze any more movie references into this post or I get fined. And besides, my mind is going. I can feel it.
Yes there’s that many posts..
In an effort to get completely caught up on casts we had in the can there have been three releases this week. No, that’s not going to be the usual. We also just wanted to get our horrible horror movie cast out in time for Halloween. Now that’s been done we return to our regularly scheduled programming.
And here’s the dumpster baby cupcakes that Asian correspondent Sue Wasabi made for the occasion.
Yes, they are trash bags with little plastic (upside down) babies and various tool candles. We all hope the bus ride to hell is fun.
The BMFcast hotline is now open!
That’s right kids, now you can use these new fangled phones to communicate with us Intertubes folks! Now as well as Electronic-mail, Tweeters, Facespaces and Word Wild Webs you can use Marconi’s Telephone system.
Just dial 910-5JOX-BMF from any phone and you’ll gain entry to our fabulous automated answering service where you may leave a suggestion, comment or other forms of emotion which may be used on a future ‘cast. Simple as that. 910-556-9263 for those of you that don’t speak letters in your numbers. Enjoy!
I have already killed you… in my mind.
“Who’s the slimy little communist shit, twinkle-toed cocksucker down here who just signed his own death warrant?”
Well a few bad apples have spoiled the whole bunch. We’ve recently received a lot of spam comments from .ru sites so I’ve had to turn on moderation for comments. Like Rocky, communism and Yakov Smirnoff the Russians have ruined something good in theory but bad in execution. The good news is we’ve enabled a setting that once you have an approved comment you should be able to comment freely. So if you comment and it doesn’t immediately appear it’s because you’re new and we’ll get to it as soon as possible.
The strange thing is all the comments were really nice with things like “It is the coolest site, keep so!” and “Excellent site. It was pleasant to me.” so we feel kind of bad killing them out but when they get posted about 10 times each we know it’s wishful thinking that they’re real.
Spam spam spam eggs and spam.
Welcome Dragon*Con Attendees!
Chances are if you are a brand new visitor here you met the illustrious Harlo at Dragon*Con this weekend and were given one of our explosive new business cards. Welcome! Take a look around, download some podcasts, listen to us tear into some terrible movies and leave some comments. Better yet, send us an e-mail with movie and or topic suggestions. Our address is bmf@bmfcast.com. Easy, huh? We accept suggestions, questions and pictures of Slave Leia and Leeloo Multipass chicks, since I hear that’s what you see at those convention things. But what do I know, I’m just a humble podcaster.
Thanks, and enjoy!

One step closer..
All the entires are back up with the appropriate media. The iTunes feed should be back up and working just like it was as well. Now it’s time to actually try and make this a bit prettier and add some functionality. Phew…
