BMFcast122 – Mustache of Justice

Dr. Strange (1978) is a TV movie made to set up a series that never happened, to continue our Before Marvel F*cking Cared About Standards Trilogy presented by Stan Lee.* If there’s one thing we learned from this is that having a mustache in 1978 automatically makes you a good guy.

Second half we talk about Clash/Wrath of the Titans, Moneyball and more. There’s voicemail! There’s email! There’s puns! Excelsior!

* As always, Stan Lee has nothing to do with the actual production and all imitations and likenesses therein are purely down for comedy and out of love of (co)creators.

BMFcast121 – PUNisher

The Punisher (1989) begins our Before Marvel F#@%ing Cared About Standards Trilogy presented by Stan Lee*. Our buddy Dolph Lundgren is out to murder some dudes, but can he deliver us another 5 Jox movie?

Second half we go movie talking crazy as we cover in theater movies Lockout and Cabin in the Woods plus new to DVD Shame and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and plenty more. There’s even voicemails and emails. It’s a slightly longer episode than normal but we make every minute count. Mostly.

*Stan Lee is in no way affiliated with the BMFcast and all celebrity and cameo appearances are impersonated.

BMFcast120 – Q’d Up

Q: The Winged Serpent (1982) is reviewed after many a recommendation. BMFcast alums Richard Roundtree and David Carradine hang around with us again. And that will be the only joke we’ll make at David Carradine’s expense. Instead we will now direct all our ire towards Michael Moriarty.

Second half is our Summer Movie preview for 2012. We run down the major releases week by week and share our thoughts. Enjoy!

BMFcast119 – The Passion of the Callan

Cross (2011) is reviewed, starring and produced by Brian Austin Green and Jake Busey. It’s our burden to bear and no matter what you may think of it, we wash our hands of this entire event.

Second half we talk a couple of documentaries and take some listener voicemails/emails. Enjoy!

Here’s a video preview of us insulting an entire region of the United States!

BMFcast118 – T is Back

Surviving the Game (1994) may be another Most Dangerous Game movie, but stars a bevy of BMFcast alums. Rutger Hauer, Ice T, Charles S. Dutton and Gary Busey all return in this cast. Plus throw in Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham and John C. McGinley because there needs to be more dudes with initials in this one.

Second half we talk The Hunger Games, takes some voicemails and email. It truly is the most dangerous game you can play with your ears. Enjoy!

Here is a video preview of us giving terrible Ice T impersonations!

BMFcast117 – Mona the Brick

Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze (1975) is reviewed this week in an effort to better understand the origins of Buckaroo Banzai and patriotism in general. Plus we are shown how to make a room full of people join in on your evil laugh.

Second half we forgo voicemails and instead talk at length about an email and the movies we’ve been watching lately, including Hanna (2011) and Special When Lit (2009). Enjoy!

BMFcast116 – All Hail Mr. T

D.C. Cab (1983) is this week’s review, directed by the man who put nipples on the Batsuit and starring the dynamic duo of Mr. T and Gary Busey. It is, for once, a comedy we can truly sink our enormous Busey teeth into.

Second half is voicemail laden with a broad range of topics covered. Enjoy!

BMFcast115 – A Birthday Gift from Nicolas Cage

Fire Birds (1990) helps us celebrate of our three year anniversary this week by bringing back a legend. We review  as our first official BMFcast movie starring Nic Cage since Ep 1. There’s a reason he is the greatest.

Second half it’s voicemailapalooza and we also manage to talk about four new movies including The Ides of March, The Thing (2011), Hugo and Paranormal Activity 3. It may be a little longer episode than normal, but damn it if we didn’t pack it full of talk. Enjoy!

BMFcast114 – Wu

The Guyver (1991) isa live action American adaptation of a Japanese anime. Plus it has Mark Hamill. What could go wrong?

Second half we catch up on plenty of missed emails and voicemail. Enjoy!

BMFcast113 – Yaphet and the Kid

The Monkey Hu$tle (1976) wraps up Blaxploitation History Month. We’re joined one last time by American Treasure Yaphet Kotto and this time he has a kid sidekick. While this is normally a recipe for disaster, the only thing disastrous in this one is the fashion.

Second half we briefly talk about Tucker and Dale vs Evil and The Warrior’s Way then go down into possibly our most lengthy discussion ever as we recount our visiting of MegaCon 2012. There is lots of us geeking out over all the geek activities we encountered. Enjoy!
