The BMFcast Variety Hour 004 – Garmament Bag

Raw Deal (1986) is the movie we all watched this week as we ease back into our old format a bit (while still working remotely). It’s the forgotten Arnold Schwarzenegger movie that lies in the hidden valley between Commando and Predator. You should see it! It’s on Amazon Prime, check it out.

Other topics this variety hour include why you don’t keep your social security card in your wallet, The Gentlemen, King Arthur copyrights, Beastie Boys Story, The Last Dance, What We Do in the Shadows, Middleditch and Schwartz, shirtless Netflix comedians and Amazon’s broken-ass app.

The BMFcast Variety Hour 003 – Revenji

Still isolated but we’ve got lots to talk about. This week we all managed to watch the same movie… 1985’s Silverado. It’s a western everyone dismissed at the time and don’t talk about much today. Shame on all of you. Silverado is terrific.

After that we dip into ESPN’s The Last Dance, Amazon’s The Grand Tour, Downhill, the new horror version of Fantasy Island, and then Harlo has words for the Star Trek franchise. Stay safe!

BMFcast Extra 144 – Gridiron Gang

Gridiron Gang (2006) is our final Rocktober movie. The Rock tries to reach juvenile delinquents by teaching them how to play football. It’s exactly what you think it is.

The BMFcast Variety Hour 002 – Reckless Trespassing

We’re back with another hour of random chit chat for you during quarantine. This time we’ve got thoughts on Impractical Jokers The Movie, Tombstone, noisy keyboards, the 1993 Academy Awards, Mrs. Doubtfire, Seinfeld, a tease for a Star Trek conversation that’ll never happen on this show, Better Luck Tomorrow, Pottersville, and whatever the hell Quibi is. Stay safe!

BMFcast Extra 143 – Faster

Faster (2010) is the film The Rock made that broke him out of the Disney trap and set him down the path towards Fast Five. It’s a grim tale of revenge and murder that’s worth a look, but won’t come away from it feeling good.

Quarantine of Solace – Episode Two

Part two of our 2012 James Bond review compilation features the first four Roger Moore entries: Live and Let Die, The Man With the Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker. We have lots to say about each of them. Enjoy!

The BMFcast Variety Hour 001 – Quarontent

Well, the studio is empty and we’re all in our own homes… but that can’t stop the BMFcast! Quarantine of Solace – Episode One

We’d all like to be watching the new James Bond movie this month, but you know, the world. So, to keep the content machine going here, we’ve put together a special series of episodes. Back in 2012, Maki (and then eventually the rest of the crew) marathoned the entire James Bond franchise. This first episode assembles our quaint 2012 takes on Dr. No through Diamonds are Forever, along with a bonus take on the non-official 1960’s version of Casino Royale. Enjoy!

BMFcast502 – Delivery Boys – Breakin’ the Fourth Wall

Delivery Boys (1985) is a BONKERS tale of delivery boy breakdancers and their quest to win $10,000 in a local contest. Along the way they get tricked into various Penthouse Forum letters situations thanks to their rival, Spider (Mario Van Peebles).

Maki joins us via Skype in the second half and we’ve got a lot of things to discuss, including: The Invisible Man (2020), Horse Girl, Idiocracy, The Edge of Seventeen, The Only Living Boy in New York, The Black Hole and the new Amazon series Hunters. Thanks for listening and stay safe!

BMFcast501 – Battle Queen 2020 – Melon Delivery

Battle Queen 2020 (2001) is a “movie” that stars Julie Strain’s breasts and martial artist Jeff Wincott who performs zero martial arts. It’s barely a movie, and we barely want to talk about it.

In the second half it’s quarantine talk as we’ve been watching a lot! We’re here to tell you all about Sonic the Hedgehog, JoJo Rabbit, Breaking Bad, El Camino, The Edge of Seventeen, Bandslam, 2019’s Charlie’s Angels, Kubo and the Two Strings, Blade Runner 2049, Ocean’s Twelve and Jumanji: The Next Level. Enjoy!
