BMFcast Extra 144 – Gridiron Gang

Gridiron Gang (2006) is our final Rocktober movie. The Rock tries to reach juvenile delinquents by teaching them how to play football. It’s exactly what you think it is.

BMFcast Extra 143 – Faster

Faster (2010) is the film The Rock made that broke him out of the Disney trap and set him down the path towards Fast Five. It’s a grim tale of revenge and murder that’s worth a look, but won’t come away from it feeling good.

BMFcast Extra 141 – Hercules

Hercules (2014) is The Rock’s version of Hercules and he’s a great Hercules. Problem is that the movie doesn’t want him to be Hercules. It wants to tell the story of a man who is being hyped up as being the son of Zeus but is actually just a dude. But he is the son of Zeus. It’s so strange. However, The Rock kicks all kinds of candy asses in this, and the action scenes are a blast.

BMFcast487 – Rockula – Boat Diddley

Rockula (1990) is our Rocktober finale and it sure is something. A vampire virgin (Dean Cameron) has to do tasks in order to woo the girl that’ll release him from his curse. Toni Basil and Thomas Dolby are here to be great, and Bo Diddley is here to cash checks.

In the second half, Harlo has words for Joker (2019), Maki gets dragged into the first Maleficent (2014), and then we’ve got brief thoughts on the new HBO Watchmen series. Enjoy!

BMFcast486 – Martial Law II – Don’t Get Hit With Anything in the Groin

Martial Law II: Undercover (1991) replaces Chad McQueen with Jeff Wincott, but Cynthia Rothrock is still here to be underutilized.

In the second half we’ve got thoughts on El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (very mild spoilers), Spider-Man: Far From Home (mild MCU spoilers), Stuber, Disney’s remake of The Lion King, and then finally Sucker Punch. Enjoy!

BMFcast485 – Karate Rock – Can’t Stop the Rock

Karate Rock (1990) is a movie devoid of, well… everything. There’s not one single thing about this Italian Karate Kid knockoff that anyone could say is “good”. But is it entertaining? Half the usual crew is on hand to answer that burning question.

In the second half Chuck has an exclusive “not on 31 Days of Horror” review for Annabelle Comes Home (2019) while Harlo preps for Joker (2019) by watching The King of Comedy (1983) for the first time. Then some chat about Scorsese’s comments about comic book movies not being “cinema”. Enjoy!

BMFcast484 – Journey 2 The Mysterious Island – Luis Goofman

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012) is an unnecessary but superior sequel to the Brendan Fraser original, except he’s gone and has been replaced with The Rock. Also, Michael Caine, Luis Guzman and Vanessa Hudgens join the returning Josh Hutcherson. That’s right, it’s ROCKTOBER time!

In the second half we’ve got hot takes on Between Two Ferns: The Movie, Across the Universe and Breaking Bad. Also, it’s spooky season with Chuck on YouTube as 31 Days of Horror enters its 12th season!

BMFcast Extra 092 – The Rock

The Rock (1996) is… well okay look, you know what The Rock is. The question is “Do you love The Rock?” and if so, then “How much do you love The Rock?”.

BMFcast199 – Rock Puns

The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas (2000) is our surprise bonus Rocktober movie. Only surprise is that we finished watching the movie. Special guest Walt joins us to replace a missing Maki.

Second half we talk spooky movies including Grave Encounters 2, The Conjuring and more. Plus some non-spooky regular movie discussions. Enjoy!

BMFcast198 – Monstrawsity

Voyage of the Rock Aliens (1984) is week 4 of Rocktober’s movie. This time we bring along the incomparable Pia Zadora to this low budget Sci-Fi zany rock musical party. There’s gags aplenty and more of them work than they should.

Second half we discuss some random movies including Grave Encounters and then get spooky answering some listener emails. Enjoy!
