BMFcast557 – Zombie High – Get Busy Child

Zombie High (1987) is neither about zombies nor high school. Adult children at a private academy get turned into 80s yuppies so that the staff can drink their sweet, sweet goo and live forever. There’s not a lot to discuss which is why the conversation devolves into nothing but Blacula and Supernatural talk. Enjoy!

BMFcast556 – Tales from the Crypt Demon Knight – Hepatitis JC

Tales From the Crypt: Demon Knight (1995) is the first big screen version of the HBO series. It stars Billy Zane and William Sadler as warring entities in a battle to save or destroy humanity. There’s lots of goo along the way and a big heaping dose of Dick Miller.

BMFcast555 – Creature – Derpy Xenomorph

Creature (1985) is an Alien knockoff with effects from the team that would go on to make Aliens (and win an Oscar for it!) Something’s up on Saturn’s moon Titan and various ships are sent to investigate. Once there, they find a creature! People then get creatured.

BMFcast554 – The Cannonball Run – Cannonball Your Brains Out

The Cannonball Run (1981) is a collection of gags performed by an all-star cast in a movie that’s ostensibly about a car race but it actually just a collection of gags performed by an all-star cast. But, I mean, if you see that there’s a movie starring Burt Reynolds, Roger Moore and Jackie Chan you’re going to watch it no matter what. We did.

BMFcast553 – TC 2000 – Spider-Man Breadbasket

TC 2000 (1993) is a mishmash of several better post-apocalyptic films, this one just features way more punching and kicking. BMFcast alums Billy Blanks, Bolo Yeung, Bobbie Phillips and Matthias Hues punch and kick and die and some become sex robots. You know, the circle of life.

BMFcast Extra 204 – Final Score

Final Score (2018) is another retelling of 1995’s Sudden Death, itself a retelling a Die Hard. This one features Dave Bautista as an American in London trying to save a soccer stadium full of fans from evil terrorists. It is WAY better than you might think, and you should go seek it out.

BMFcast552 – Day of the Animals – Birdnertia

Day of the Animals (1977) is the fantastical tale of the hole in the ozone layer causing animals (and then later, people) to go mad. A dozen mountain hikers led by Christopher George (Enter the Ninja) are menaced by the wild animals and eventually by Leslie Nielsen as well. Everyone has a really bad time.

BMFcast551 – Righting Wrongs – Power of Attorney

Righting Wrongs (1986) is also known as Above the Law in the states and if you’ve seen this before you might have seen it with a vastly different ending. We watched the original Hong Kong version and well… it is DARK. Yuen Biao is a prosecutor frustrated with the system so he starts whipping ass around town. Cynthia Rothrock is the cop who thinks he should play by the rules. The action is nuts, everything else not so much.

BMFcast Extra 203 – Universal Soldier Day of Reckoning

Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (2012) is the last UniSol movie to date and also the strangest, in a franchise FILLED with bizarre entries. Scott Atkins joins the franchise as a pissed off dad trying to uncover the reasons why Luc Deveraux (Jean-Claude Van Damme) murdered his family. Dolph Lundgren is also here, inexplicably, having died in two previous Universal Soldier films.

BMFcast Extra 202 – The Relic

The Relic (1997) is a dimly lit creature feature about a monster murdering anyone it can find inside a Chicago museum. Only superstitious cop Tom Sizemore and scientist Penelope Ann Miller can stop it. No one can stop us, however.
