BMFcast 595 – Twin Sitters – Chekov’s Paintball Gun

Twin Sitters (1994) aka The Babysitters completes our journey through the twin filmographies of the Barbarian Brothers. This time our pair of giant men are tasked with protecting two rich twins whose uncle has angered a very shady George Lazenby. Hijinks, as always, ensue. Can these cartoon men and their much smaller wards charm us enough to get Jox? Or will we decide to put out a hit on them?

BMFcast 584 – Dunston Checks In – BMFcast Checks Out

Dunston Checks In (1996) is our tribute to the late Paul Reubens. An orangutan has checked in to the finest hotel in New York City, and he’s here to pull heists with the evil Rupert Everett. After befriending the son of Jason Alexander, it’s Dunston on the run as everyone, including Paul Reubens and Faye Dunaway(!) is after that crazy simian. Hijinks ensue! Can all these monkeyshines bring us into Jox territory?

BMFcast 578 – Double Trouble – Michalak-a-Hiney-Ho

Double Trouble (1992) brings us one step closer to completing the filmography of the Barbarian Bros. This time one’s a cop, one’s a cat burglar. They’re forced to be partners on opposite sides of the law when they both get tangled up in a high-stakes diamond heist. With a preppie FBI handler and plenty of C-list supporting actors along for the ride, will their wacky hijinks be enough to steal a Jox rating?

BMFcast 571 – I’m Gonna Git You Sucka – Blaxploitation-ploitation

I’m Gonna Git You Sucka (1988) is Keenen Ivory Wayans’ ode to blaxploitation, and a fitting way to end this year’s Blaxploitation History Month. It’s packed with jokes, as well as BMFcast alums, with Jim Brown, Bernie Casey, Isaac Hayes and even Steve James making appearances. Do the jokes hit as hard as our favorite heroes? Only one way to find out if we’ve found gold or OG’d on chains.

BMFcast 566 – 3 Ninjas – The Ninja Trajectory

3 Ninjas (1992) continues NINJANUARY! Three American brothers (Rocky, Colt and Tum Tum) learn from their ninja grandfather the ways of being a true ninja. If you’re a millennial, you probably loved this. Last week, Nine Deaths of the Ninja lied to us about the amount of deaths. What untruths about ninjas are there to be uncovered this week? Stay tuned, but first…we feast!

BMFcast Extra 207 – Collision Course

Collision Course (1989) pairs Jay Leno and Pat Morita as mismatched buddycops solving a case in Detroit. Much racism, zero laughs and one very insane moment late in the film is the result. Bonus: Harlo explains that he cannot see Jay Leno.

BMFcast554 – The Cannonball Run – Cannonball Your Brains Out

The Cannonball Run (1981) is a collection of gags performed by an all-star cast in a movie that’s ostensibly about a car race but it actually just a collection of gags performed by an all-star cast. But, I mean, if you see that there’s a movie starring Burt Reynolds, Roger Moore and Jackie Chan you’re going to watch it no matter what. We did.

BMFcast544 – Operation Dumbo Drop – CO Tuco

Operation Dumbo Drop (1995) was one of the few remaining Ray Liotta (RIP) movies we had that would qualify for this show. It’s a weird PG Disney movie set during the Vietnam War. That’s a very odd thing. Is it bad? Some of us definitely think so!

BMFcast537 – House Party 2 – P’Jam

House Party 2 (1991) sees Kid (Kid) off to college while Play (Play) stays behind to work in the record store. Hijinks ensue. Also, drama? But then there’s a pajama jammie jam, which is why we’re all here. It’s a very wholesome R-rated comedy.

BMFcast Extra 188 – Transylvania 6-5000

Transylvania 6-5000 (1985) is a cult 80s comedy that Harlo and Chuck both watched for the very first time in 2020. The results are not favorable, however we both agree that Geena Davis’ costume is the best thing in the film.
