BMFcast 590 – The Dungeonmaster – The Dungeonbusters

The Dungeonmaster (1984) aka Ragewar brings us back to the world of Charles Band, as a dorky computer programmer is challenged by the devil (the late, great Richard Moll) to a series of tests to prove that magic is better than technology. A bunch of loosely related anthology scenes ensue. Will the power of lasers defeat the devil and earn some Jox?

BMFcast 584 – Dunston Checks In – BMFcast Checks Out

Dunston Checks In (1996) is our tribute to the late Paul Reubens. An orangutan has checked in to the finest hotel in New York City, and he’s here to pull heists with the evil Rupert Everett. After befriending the son of Jason Alexander, it’s Dunston on the run as everyone, including Paul Reubens and Faye Dunaway(!) is after that crazy simian. Hijinks ensue! Can all these monkeyshines bring us into Jox territory?

BMFcast 578 – Double Trouble – Michalak-a-Hiney-Ho

Double Trouble (1992) brings us one step closer to completing the filmography of the Barbarian Bros. This time one’s a cop, one’s a cat burglar. They’re forced to be partners on opposite sides of the law when they both get tangled up in a high-stakes diamond heist. With a preppie FBI handler and plenty of C-list supporting actors along for the ride, will their wacky hijinks be enough to steal a Jox rating?

BMFcast Extra 207 – Collision Course

Collision Course (1989) pairs Jay Leno and Pat Morita as mismatched buddycops solving a case in Detroit. Much racism, zero laughs and one very insane moment late in the film is the result. Bonus: Harlo explains that he cannot see Jay Leno.

BMFcast563 – The Brain – Typical Canadian Christmas

The Brain (1988) is our second film from director Ed Hunt (Alien Warrior). While not nearly as insane as that film, it does have its own “Uhhh, what the heck is this?” thing going on. Canadian teens are menaced by a giant brain that eats people and wants a popular TV show. And it’s a Christmas movie.

BMFcast520 – Bikini Summer – The T&A DA

Bikini Summer (1991) is a harmless T&A comedy which one BMFcaster describes as “The Citizen Kane of movies with the word ‘bikini’ in the title”. The other three don’t much care to describe it at all. Also, BJ announces his exciting new Patreon show!

BMFcast407 – The Van – Van Stuff

The Van (1977) seemed like the proper way to start #Vanuary! Bobby is a sleazy high school graduate who spends his college tuition on a sweet, sweet van. Will it get him the ladies he desperately seeks? Or will it end up with him getting his ass kicked by local bully Dugan?

In the second half it’s the Golden Jox awards for 2017! We reward our favorite movies of 2017 with the coveted award and unanimously pick a movie as our favorite of the year!

BMFcast406 – Disorderlies – Fat Asstagonists

Disorderlies (1987) is a Three Stooges-esque comedy starring those ’80s icons(?) The Fat Boys. They’re a trio of orderlies hired to do a bad job by a scheming nephew looking to inherit his uncle’s fortune. We’d say wackiness ensues, but it’s already been stated that The Fat Boys can never be wack.

In the second half everyone is catching up on 2017 movies before next week’s Golden Jox awards, so we get quick takes on Colossal, Dunkirk, The Little Hours, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Pottersville, Sandy Wexler, Logan Lucky, Detroit, and Atomic Blonde. Holy cow.

BMFcast314 – Stifler Sliders

BMF-Ep314-slider

American Pie Presents Band Camp (2005) seemed like the proper way to “celebrate” episode 3.14. (Get it!?) Or something. Turns out that was a bad idea, as Stifler’s younger brother is an even worse character than the original guy. And he’s the main character. Uh oh.

After the break Harlo discusses What We Do In The Shadows and Smokin’ Aces while the rest of us didn’t watch anything so we respond to listener e-mails and voicemails instead. Enjoy!
