The BMFcast Variety Hour 037 – Eddie Redmayne’s Face

Godzilla vs Kong (2021) is of course what we’re talking about this week, but we’re saving that for the second half in case you don’t want to get spoiled. Before that, Harlo enjoys a Aaron Sorkin trilogy of Charlie Wilson’s War, Molly’s Game and The Trial of the Chicago 7. Also, Ava and Tina. Maki checks out Kid90 and revisits The World’s End. Then BJ finds comfort in previous BMFcast movies The Apple and ROBOT JOX. Crash and burn!

BMFcast281 – Robo With A Shotgun

BMF-Ep281-slider

Crash And Burn (1990) is Charles Band’s unofficial sequel to BMFcast classic Robot Jox (now available on Blu ray!) We discover it’s a Robot Jox sequel in name only, though it has its fair share of robots. Will they be enough to make us recommend this low budget sci-fi/horror combo?

After the break we get into all sorts of movie talk as we wrap up last week’s Terminator series discussion and give our thoughts on the brand new Terminator Genisys. Chuck talks about his 3-day weekend movie marathon, Harlo weighs in on Chappie and Maggie, BJ lets us know if Kingsman: The Secret Service is worth your time and we even get a bunch of listener e-mails in. It’s super-sized, so get listening and enjoy!

BMFcast06HD – Raising the B.A.R. Special Edition

Robot Jox (1990) returns as this episode we travel back in time and scream our love of all over again in this HD remix audio file. Speakers of the world, cower in fear!

Second half we replaced the original discussion with a best of clips show because, well, that’s what people do at the end of the year.

BMFcast26 – 6monthstravaganza

The Passion of the Travolta.

The Passion of the Travolta.

This week we celebrate six months of casting with one INfamous movie. Scientology explodes onto the scene as we watch Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 (2000). You’d think from all the time that has passed from 10,000 B.C. to Year One to 1941 and finally to 3000 A.D. the movies would have gotten better.

Then on a happier note we finally drop the bad and talk the good as we celebrate our favorite legitimate films of all time (other than Robot Jox)!

BMFcast14 – Full House

I can't believe this movie has a sequel!

I can't believe this movie has a sequel!

Our Full House beats our normal Three of a Kind as this week we go back to the Big House with Fortress (1992).  Can Stuart Gordon be the one to out Robot Jox his own movie? Find out as special guests TStrel and Silent Jen join us in the BMFcast studio.

We also talk favorite quotable movies, Drag Me To Hell and go just a tad off topic in the 2nd half.

BMFcast06 – Raising the B.A.R.

ROBOT JOX!!!

ROBOT JOX!!!

Robot Jox (1990) makes us yell our love from the top of the Internet’s mountain. We finally find our kind of bad movie and we’re not ashamed to love it. ROBOTJOX!!!

We also talk some forgotten classics, movies the have slipped through the cracks but need to be known.

BMFcast 589 – Evolver – Chekov’s Kaleidoscope

Evolver (1995) is a classic tale of boy plays VR game, boy meets girl who hates him, boy cheats to win VR tournament, boy wins robot, robot tries to kill boy, his mom, his kid sister, and the girl. It’s fun for the whole family, but is it Jox for the whole family?

BMFcast 588 – Deadly Friend – Cadavernapping

Deadly Friend (1986) is the story of a Doogie-Howser-esque robotics and AI genius who through a series of wildly inadvisable blunders sets a murderous-robot-brain-powered undead Kristy Swanson loose on an unsuspecting series of neighborhood jerks. All in the name of love, we think. We know Wes Craven can deliver on horror, but can he deliver on Jox?

BMFcast256 – Sensory Overload

Needs more robot menacing

Hardware (1990) is our first movie of 2015. This is not the movie you’re looking for. Move along.

Second half it’s time for our 2014 Golden Jox celebrating the best movies of the year. That’s it. The entire half. Enjoy!
