BMFcast394 – Breakin’ 2 Electric Boogaloo – Gazpacho and the Squid

Breakin’ 2 Electric Boogaloo (1984) has finally made its way to the show, and it’s director Sam Firstenberg’s 10th film to get the BMFcast treatment. Most importantly though, IT’S A SAVE THE REC CENTER MOVIE. Turbo, Ozone and Special K return to SAVE THE REC CENTER.

In the second half, Chuck and Harlo discuss Star Trek Discovery, and then Harlo joins the 4K revolution. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 045 – Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams

Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams is an immediate follow-up to the first film that forgot to bring a villain along. However it does add Bill Paxton, Steve Buscemi and Ricardo Montalban to the mix, so it’s not all bad.

BMFcast393 – Dollman vs Demonic Toys – Poopsie-Daisy

Dollman vs Demonic Toys (1993) is the culmination(?) of Charles Band’s shared universe in a semi-sequel to Dollman, Bad Channels, and Demonic Toys. The naughty Toys are back, and Dollman and a recently-retconned Ginger are there to fight them. This is the shortest movie we’ve ever reviewed, but does combining low-budget movie universes redeem it?

After the break, BJ gets sharky with 47 Meters Down (2017) and Deep Blue Sea (1999), Harlo revisits some ’80s classics with The Lost Boys (1987) and The Last Dragon (1985), Chuck checks in on Netflix’s Ozark (2017) and we discuss TV movies after some listener correspondence. Enjoy!

Goodbye, Comments

The Sound of Silence

We’ve decided to go ahead and disable comments on posts. That doesn’t mean we don’t want to hear from you! Please feel free to drop into our (usually) active Discord server, comment via email/Garfield phone, or get to us on the various socials media. We looked and we had nearly 10k bogus spam users created on the site and we just don’t know what kind of election-rigging-site-hacking-credit-fraud shenanigans they were up to but we decided to let the titans of tech handle it rather than us. Sorry if your comments magically went *poof* out of existence but there it is. Please know that we still love you and want to hear from each and every one. Except that one person. You know who you are and what you did.

BMFcast Extra 044 – Spy Kids

Welcome to Spy Kids month! For the next four weeks we’ll be celebrating the SPY KIDS franchise, starting with 2001’s SPY KIDS! No spoilers, but Antonio Banderas is an international treasure and WE HAVE WASTED HIM.

BMFcast392 – Fit To Kill – Lap Water

Fit To Kill (1993) is our long-awaited return to the worlds of Andy Sidaris. Donna, Nicole, Edy, Bruce, Shane and the gang have all returned to do… Something? There’s a priceless diamond, a hot tub, a yacht, remote controlled helicopters, and Julie Strain is there, too! Also, people have lots of sex. A LOT. Does this push it to the top of the Sidaris stack?

In the second half, Harlo uses his brand new Moviepass to see Charlize Theron’s Atomic Blonde (2017) and Luc Besson’s Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) before we take some listener voicemails and e-mails. Enjoy!

BMFcast Extra 043 – Jingle All The Way and The Family Man

It’s the Christmas in July finale and we’ve got two heavy hitters to close out the season: 1996’s Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle Jingle All The Way and 2000’s Nicolas Cage classic The Family Man.

BMFcast391 – Maniac Cop 2 – Jason X To Pay Respects

Maniac Cop 2 (1990) is a much-requested movie chock-full of BMFcast alums. With Robert Z’Dar as the titular cop back on the beat, there are plenty of beatdowns, mutilations, incinerations, and (especially) defenestrations. We all know this will get Jox. The question is how many?

After the break we do a lot of recent movie catch-up with Harlo checking out Tom Cruise’s The Mummy (2017) and continuing the Harry Potter journey with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016). Chuck revisits Prometheus (2012) before diving into the icky pool that is Alien Covenant (2017) and Maki gets into the filmmaking of Kong Skull Island (2017). Enjoy!
