BMFcast378 – Streets of Fire – The Whoopi Rotation

Streets of Fire (1984) welcomes director Walter Hill to the hall of BMFcast alums. Michael Paré is a mercenary hired by Rick Moranis to track down his rock singer girlfriend, Diane Lane, who’s been kidnapped by Willem Dafoe. This “Rock & Roll Fable” has style for days, but is the substance enough to push it into Jox territory?

After the break we talk about The Lego Batman Movie (2017) before discussing Fist Fight (2017) and its similarities to Three O’Clock High (1987). We take some voicemails, e-mails and even an MP3-mail, too! Enjoy!

Gents, it was great to see you get around to discussing Streets of fire. This is my favorite movie and even though you were not as impressed with it as I was it was still fun listening to you talking about it. I saw this in theatres when I was 15 and immediately purchased the soundtrack album and ordered the poster which continues to have a place of honour where ever I have lived. Now that you have welcomed Walter Hill to the show maybe you should consider Trespass which features two ices (T and Cube) and Bill Paxton. It’s a lot of fun and worth your time. Keep up the great work.
