BMFcast297 – Copsicle

BMF-Ep297-slider

Magic Cop (1990) is our wrap up to Coptober. Also known as Mr. Vampire 5, this movie involves a Taoist cop who fights a drug ring who uses enthralled vampires to move product. Yep. That’s what it’s about.

Second half we discuss Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, Knock Knock, Olympus Has Fallen and Army of Darkness. Plus take listener correspondence. Enjoy!

BMFcast296 – Old Folks Home Alone

Keaton’s Cop (1990) is the penultimate entry in Coptober 1990. Lee Majors, Abe Vigoda,  and Don Rickles team up to take down mobsters. And also, osteoporosis.

After the break Harlo gives his take on Crimson Peak, BJ checks out the original Oldboy, Maki watches one of Chuck’s 31 in 31 recommendations, Dead & Buried, and we discuss prequels after a listener e-mail. Enjoy!

BMFcast295 – Slow Motion Commotion

BMF-Ep295-slider

Vampire Cop (1990) continues our Coptober 1990 celebration. It’s a shot-on-video “horror action” movie that has a bit too much faked slow motion and not enough coherent storytelling. It does have copious amounts of nudity and unintentional comedy, though.

After the break Harlo talks Dope, Chuck wonders why Poltergeist (2015) exists and we take some listener e-mails. Enjoy!

BMFcast294 – Totes Ransom

Cop Target (1990) continues Coptober with the tale of a seen it all cop who is assigned to provide protection to a dead DEA agent’s wife on a tropical island. She’s very ungrateful for his service.

Second half we talk briefly about Jiro Dreams of Sushi, the Star Wars Despecialized Editions and take some listener correspondence. Enjoy!

BMFcast293 – On Top of Old Top Cop

BMF-Ep293-slider

Top Cop (1990) is how we begin Coptober. Malone is a murder machine of a policeman who looks like the sad amalgamation of Dan Haggerty and Ted Dibiase.

Second half it’s all listener correspondence. Enjoy!
