BMFcast165 – Force of Nature

By

Three The Hard Way (1974) wraps up Blaxploitation History Month with a bang. All-Stars Jim Brown, Fred Williamson and Jim Kelly unite to bring us one of the best action films we’ve reviewed. Spoilers: We liked it. A lot.

Second half we talk a ton of movies including A Good Day to Die Hard, Taken 2 and many many more. So much action packed into this episode! Enjoy!

You guys want a better Die Hard than the latest two? Try Max Payne 3. At one point Max shaves his head and the attitude of the game literally turns into a Die Hard without Bruce Willis.

  2. Maki Maki says:

Chuck and I both have it, but neither has played it yet. Need to get on that sooner or later!

  3. Blair Russell says:

It’s time for me to catch up with this. The last two episodes I saw filmed live on YouTube and I enjoyed both. I also downloaded the finished episodes. I’ve never seen Black Shampoo but that sounds like quite the film. I actually did see Three The Hard Way not that long ago and I did not like it as much as the BMFCast did. There were great moments sure but the movie seemed to be poorly put together and I’d love to know what in the heck went wrong on set which caused the laughably bad situation of the gang’s van of destruction in the climax to sometimes be a bright blue GMC Vandura van and other times be a bright blue Ford Econoline van and yet they’re supposed to be the same vehicle despite the two looking nothing alike aside from them being the same color!

I did see both the newest Die Hard movie and Taken 2. Both are crappy films with a bad script and horribly filmed action scenes.

I paid too much attention to that awards show last night but at least BMFCast alum Hal Needham won an honorary Oscar. It was for his years in the stuntman field but I am glad the field is finally getting some recognition.

  4. Jimmy says:

I agree with that guy. Max Payne 3 Is the shit.
