BMFcast112 – To Elevator

Friday Foster (1975) continues Blaxploitation History Month with our first foray into the filmography of Pam Grier. For a lady known for kicking a lot of ass, she sure doesn’t do much in this one. But hey, Yaphet Kotto!

Second half we take correspondence galore and go off on our usual tangents about movies and other things not so much about movies. Like giant McDonald’s. Enjoy!

I’d love to see the BMFcast do “Black Devil Doll from Hell” sometime, though JESUS H CHRIST is it a piece of shit.

  2. MusiM says:

Speaking of anime, you guys should hit up the 2D Fighter animes, such as Fatal Fury the Motion Picture. You get the line “They say you can’t buy love, but you’d be surprised how easy it is to rent”. And really who doesn’t want a trucker version of Ryu running around with a reflective hat he enjoys throwing in the air? Basically the good guy FF gang, Terry, Mia, and Andy are searching for some mystical ancient armor. Its kind of like Indiana Jones meets a really bad Street Fighter anime movie. But again, I’m advertising this to you as a bad but enjoyable anime whereas the animes Harlo mentioned I would classify as good animes.

And you know, although the show doesn’t fit your format, I dearly wish I had watched the entire Street Fighter II V series with friends and beers. The travesty is that Ryu and Ken didn’t make out the at the end. Chun li wants to go on a day with Ryu? No way, he’s gotta work it with Ken. Its so bad its funny.

And I gotta finish this one up tomorrow.

Just FYI, I’ve found the people who say they don’t like sweets are liars.

Man I should have just stayed at work another 10 minutes, didn’t realize I was that close.
