BMFcast91 – The Word

By

We were shocked it was so terrible. And yet so loveable.

Birdemic: Shock and Terror (2010) is a suggestion by The Asian Correspondent. Words won’t do this one justice, just listen.

Second half we take some listener mail, talk a bit about Red State (2011) and double (triple) up on the Cons as we talk WWCC, Flashback Weekend and Dragon*Con. Set phasers to nerd and ENGAGE!

    This episode had me rolling.

I just looked it up on IMDB. They made a sequel to this movie: Birdemic II: The Resurrection 3D. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1674047/ While I realize you can do an IMDB search as easily as I can I have to have the link on the screen so I don’t call myself a dirty liar.

And really hearing the Birdemic talk makes me think there’s a chance you guys could enjoy Perfume. Its a really bad bad, well filmed, snootty movie. And there is in fact a true dumpster baby in it. And boobs. And its French. And possibly an orgy.

I agree with the Intern on Cop Out.

I just kind of assumed everyone saw Clockwork Orange when they were in their early teens. I’m pretty sure I saw it at 13. I really think the teenage crowd is the main one that still likes that movie.

Yeah Burton scoffed at Suzy when she asked him if he had a Reading Rainbow pic he could sign back in 2010 DragonCon. He was prickly to us too.

I got to go to the Venture Brothers panel in 2009 and 2010 and there were massively fun. Sad that I couldn’t afford the con this year.

YOU MADE IT THROUGH REGISTRATION IN AN HOUR!!!!! That is amazing. I think it still took Suzy’s friend 3 hours.

Concerning the end song you make me wish I didn’t listen to you through a web browser. Its like videogame credits. They’re a half hour long and there might be something worthwhile after them.

I know I should have called the Garfield Hotline but by the time I thought of it yesterday, it was probably too late. I have to say I’m actually glad I watched the movie before listening. I just sat at my desk nodding my head with everything you guys said. I completely agree with Chuck, it sounded like the “actor” playing Rod (Rob/Ron? whatever) was trying to learn English.

  3. Chuck says:

Rod may have have been deaf.

  4. Chuck says:

And I may have have a problem where I double up on my haves.

My fiancee and I actually like Perfume. She’s really into it. I just like it. :-p

Also, I really enjoyed Red State. Never got to see Cop Out, so I can’t speak on current Kevin Smith quality.
